I can see you have only just sent the email to AffinityOrders@serif.com only yesterday. We have a small team and are currently many days behind on our replies, sorry. With over 100,000 orders placed in launch week any small number of problems leads to hundreds of support tickets. They will be dealt with in turn, so please be patient. You have already emailed the correct team AffinityOrders@serif.com

No .exe, no interest
Patrick Connor replied to UweJelting's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
We clearly originally did not plan to distribute the MSI generically so there is quite a lot of testing & fixing required. We are likely to release MSI installers when we do the first patch, so hopefully before Christmas. At the moment some functionality like StudioLink and Edit in are non functional. Sorry this is far from straightforward given the way the applications share downloaded content and created assets/brushes. We need to address these and anything else we find before MSI installers are made available more generally, or we will just be introducing more problems than it resolves. -
V2 is a downgrade

Is this, or is this not, an ad hominem attack? I think the second half of the sentence is, yes -

Purchase through the Apple Store
Patrick Connor replied to Ruiba Media's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
We are writing some steps for users to understand this process better. The articles will be available first in English and then translated into all supported languages. Perhaps it is best to use it as a trial version until that step by step process is online. I. The meantime here is a PDF of the typical screens you see using a Mac App Store build. If you wish to repurchase and follow these steps then go ahead StoreFlow.pdf -

How can you offer a discount for V2+V1 bundle to V1 owners, when V2 is free with IAP (to facilitate the V2 Universal License)? -
We don't know that for certain, we only have Serifs records to hand. Other purchases may have been made on other Apple or Microsoft stores, but we have No Record of any of those, which is my point about being unable to be fair to offer differential prices to ALL existing customers without making thousands of mistakes and upsetting everyone. A single offer price is pretty much the only easy way to do this launch and I'm sorry that each person who thinks they should have been offered something else cannot see that all other solutions present different problems

Does your organisation name have any special characters like an '&' ? -

I was not aware of the cheaper bundle approach in Apples ecosystems, that's very interesting. However that would not have helped us with this launch. I am not trying to argue here I really am not, but the apps HAD to be free to download (well as trials) in ALL the stores for us to offer the V2 Universal License method to work, so although the bundle approach might work in one store, we could not charge ANY MONEY for the iPad downloads or the Mac App store downloads and still have a V2 Universal License single purchase. -
From the Spotlight article Issues uninstalling Affinity V2 Affinity V2 apps can be uninstalled using the following methods: Uninstall from the Start Menu Select Start> All apps and search for the Affinity app you wish to uninstall. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app and select Uninstall. Unistall in Settings Select Start> Settings> Apps> Apps & features. Find the Affinity app you wish to remove and select More> Uninstall. Also this is what I see when I search in the start menu. Uninstall is there too

DXF support is a lie!
Patrick Connor replied to Ntracks's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
yes I think that is arguable. The wording could be better like DXF/DWG (Import Only). I will see if it can be improved -

DXF support is a lie!
Patrick Connor replied to Ntracks's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
to clarify, it is "missing" only because it is not meant to be there, so it is not so much missing so much as "the output (export) list is correct". see below -
DXF support is a lie!
Patrick Connor replied to Ntracks's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
to all readers DXF Support is IMPORT ONLY @Ntracks In our marketing pages we claim you can work with DXF files. By "work with" we mean you can open DFX files to work on them. We have not written any DXF export and we do not mean that. Sorry that you feel this is unclear. From this page What does the German say ?
