  1. I agree that this is far from any good for now you could use the site: search of google - type "site:forum.affinity.serif.com border" and you get these results - type "site:forum.affinity.serif.com fur" and you get these results We are planning to upgrade the forum software from IPBoard 3.4 to 4.1. I really hope that the forum search facilities/results improve and the indexing is more in our control. resulting to google is only for those in the know...
  2. AMC68 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Try typing adding https:// to the front of each link (found at the start of each chapter) like this https://affin.co/coreskills In the second run of this book we are adding the "https://" on the page to be more explicit (the first German edition also has https:// prefixes)
  3. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, for the Affinity range of software. The answer is on CommunityPlus, where WebPlus and SWR issues are discussed https://community.serif.com/forum/serif-web-resources/91855/all-swr-emails-particularly-email-form-submissions-suspended
  4. On the book(s) until the 7th February, On the software today is the last day.
  5. The one we wrote and have copyright on... Did you ask permission?
  6. Sort of but for multi-page PDFs you are best to use a DTP app like PagePlus http://www.serif.com/pageplus (on Windows only). Once Affinity has its own DTP application, Affinity Publisher, that would be a good solution too.
  7. Vegasdood, Please can you remind me which of our tutorials could do with a note that the Media browser is a Mac only feature. We could add a line to the Photo help to say it's not available.
  8. Ve2cjw,is this a PDF of the content of help pages?
  9. I agree Carl, but in my experience most people say "at work" when they work for someone else, so a purchase for personal use rarely stretches to a license for use "at work". I was being general although as has been pointed out it can cover commercial use for the individual.
  10. Liolyne, If it was for work use then you should not use it at work without another licence even if it was a Windows OS! The licence is personal or business (or educational). https://affinity.serif.com/license
  11. Freerider, Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, The License is different for home use, for business use and for educational use https://affinity.serif.com/license/ The correct answer is that you need one license for each school computer but for a larger school purchase you may be best to contact the education team, as explained in the "Product Pricing and Availability" section here https://affinity.serif.com/terms/
  12. Bpilgrim93, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :) We do plan to add a DAM as explained here https://affinity.serif.com/about but as that page explains it is unlikely to appear soon.
  13. mdpeter, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Please post in your own language and tell us what is wrong.
  14. Keith, Yes this is a final decision. This is a new code base with new concepts, sorry if you expected it.
  15. Roberto, Incredibly useful, thanks. We are in communication with the developers from Filter Forge for them to get the plugins working directly going forward.
  16. You are correct, the startup time is longer for the customer beta because it initialises some debug info each time it's run. This doesn't happen in the release build. There are no other differences. The testing/QA team were not aware that there is a difference on startup between Customer Beta and Release, they now are. Sorry for any misinformation. (Alfred, the post has been restored, sorry)
  17. You are correct, the startup time is longer for the customer beta because it initialises some debug info each time it's run. This doesn't happen in the release build. The latest Affinity Photo customer beta 1.5.1.54 was the same as the release build 1.5.1.54, there are no treats to find, sorry.
  18. Stefano, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :) You do need 64-bit Windows operating system, so it won't work on your 32 bit Windows 8.1. The other requirements are here in this installer FAQ
  19. The link from within the program has now been fixed and takes you to the updates page as it should. Sorry about the confusion. Also the patch has now been announced in the News & Info section. Thanks for the prompt prompt ;)
  20. Not sure exactly what you mean Oval, Can you explain or is this a tongue in cheek thread? If you mean price changes to our software then that would be determined by Apple, as we set the price in USD at $49.99 and all other prices round the world follow. If they want to adjust due to exchange rate differences between the Dollar and "foreign" currencies, then they may do so I guess. Leaving the Mac App Store is a big step that isn't happening, well not to my knowledge.
  21. Loris, Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, It is not yet possible to do this automatically, but if you check our Education page and contact edusales@serif.com they will let you know what we have now and our plans for the future.
  22. Only new features and improvements in 1.x updates are free, then a pause while we write some more awesome new features, then version 2.0 is for sale (optional purchase) and from then on 1.x only gets critical fixes and not new features.
