Samholmes,
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
You have woken up a very old thread (a technique also used by spammers). This thread was made when the logos had recently been launched. They are now well established and won't be reworked because of forum posts.

There are obviously situations where a UI can reset without being reset manually.
If you are going to reset the workstation then I appreciate that you might need this more urgently thank others, for whom it runs up as it last shut down.

We are putting a formal list together at the moment It will be ready tomorrow I expect. Our database does not present this info in a customer friendly, sorry

Bumping threads will not make this appear faster. Please don't

Affinity Designer for Windows 1.6.0 is now live (this is an older thread).
We are pleased to announce the second update for Affinity Designer for Windows (version 1.5.3).
The update can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, close Affinity Designer and run (double click) the downloaded EXE to install it.
A list of the fixes this release contains is being prepared and will be posted shortly.
To install this version you will need to have the Affinity Designer for Windows already installed OR you will need to type in your email address and a valid Product key when prompted. When installing on top of an existing version you will not be prompted for the product key. If you need it you can find your product key (and a download button) in your Affinity store account, where you will also find the email address used to generate the key when you ordered the software.
If you have installed any previous customer beta version of Affinity Designer 1.5.3, that beta can be safely uninstalled before or after installing this release update, they are independent installs. The beta will stop working soon anyway.
Please report any problems you have installing or using this new version in the Windows forum here

This beta has been replaced by the public release of Photo 1.5.2.69 (which has the same fixes as this beta build) . If you have purchased Photo it is available to download from your account and as a patch from within the program. Please run the application and follow the instructions to download the software.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
No, it is a new program with its own feature set. It's closer to DrawPlus than PagePlus, but the Affinity range should not be thought of as replacements, as feature parity is not the desire.

m850,
We are working on costing and potentially implementing a Russian language translation in a version 1 update.

Steve,
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
When you buy the Affinity Store version (Windows) it makes a product key that is associated with your email address (the install expects them as a pair).
We do not have a way to transfer the license to another person as such, as we cannot make the product key work with a different email address, as one is encoded in the other.
The License agreement is non-transferable and you cannot just pass the software on to someone else. If you wish to sell it on then you will need to contact us and ask permission to to sell your product key and email address pair to someone else.
Separately (for the sake of other readers) it is worth saying that we cannot transfer a license from PC to Mac either or vice-versa, sorry

Oval,
Wrong information gets corrected if A] it is wrong and B] it needs correcting. Have I missed something? What makes you think these (apart from the first one, for which thank you) are "incorrect"? -
neville,
The name of the server was chosen during the beta phase when we were particularly using it to monitor crashes, which we still do with the customer beta builds. However we have another service on there which tells the program the latest version so that the program can decide whether to tell you that there is an update available. Yes the server name is a little odd, but it is actually a call to check for updates to the software. It only passes Program name (designer or photo) operating system (currently only windows) and application type (release or trial or beta) that is all. The call is http and looks like this
Designer Release call
GET /appversion.php?product=designer&os=windows&apptype=release HTTP/1.1 Host: crashes.seriflabs.com

If the version returned by the server is the same as the software it displays nothing. The Windows store and Mac App store take care or updates for you, but we have to do this ourselves.

We have resolved the problem. Please try again now and you should be able to place your orders.

LuisLucas, IllmatikInd & ppawi,
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
Sorry about your first experience with us being a poor one. Apparently our Affinity store was not responding to any orders from 10:20 yesterday to about 5 am this morning. No orders could be placed by credit card or by paypal.
We have resolved the problem and are changing the store code to try to ensure it should not recur. Please try again now and you should be able to place your orders. As I understand it your accounts have been created (you should have received a welcome email), but no order placed. To place an order using that email now will require you to use the same password as you tried to order using yesterday. We plan to contact all those affected by email shortly.
Again, sorry about the experience, and please come back to the forums if you need support once you have completed your purchases.

Jennifer McHenry,
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
We have said that Affinity Publisher will not have a .PPP import function, sorry. However you should be able to continue to work with PagePlus on those files. The PDF import facility will get the data in for those files where you want to change applications.
It is possible that Publisher will be some years before it has some of the features that you already have in PagePlus.

Stefan,
Thank you for your input and suggestion, and thank you particularly for the time that you and others give to improving the software. A points system is almost impossible to manage/measure on a forum so would be difficult until we have a more formal public facing bug reporting system, but that is being considered in the near future.
During quiet (public facing) times in the development cycle, like now, it feels less rewarding reporting the issues and making suggestions than it does during a beta phase where the things reported are often fixed very shortly afterwards. Nevertheless all reports are added to our database and prioritised by the project leads.
The public betas and interaction with the programmers is why many of the forum regulars are here, and I look forward to the next public beta of 1.6 and more regular beta releases, when the software tends to improve very quickly.

The best place for asking software questions, reporting bugs and requesting features is right here on our forum – this is where we all hang out.
If you haven't already done so make an account to post on these forums (this forum uses an independent login and not the same as an Affinity Store Account).
Customer Service
Our customer service team will be happy to help with any questions or problems relating to orders, payments or your account.
To contact our Customer Service Team online, Affinity customers can email affinity@serif.com.We aim to respond within 24 hours, although these times can be extended during busy periods.
Technical Support
If you have a technical question or problem in using our software, or indeed if you just want some advice, our support is provided online.
For all Affinity apps, please post your question right here on the Affinity Forums.
Members of our own team are actively involved within the forum and you will often receive a pretty quick response. For critical issue support you may be asked to email support staff directly at affinitysupport@serif.com, but please start on the appropriate forums, as the regulars here often answer quickly and correctly.

AffinityMaxi,
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums
Sorry, but there is no more information about this yet. I would expect a big splash when there is, though I understand you asking here and your excitement. From what I have seen its very impressive.
