  1. Thanks RobN17, I see you are a corp customer, sorry. We will look into this for you.
  2. RobN17, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. I have moved your post into it's own thread to ease this discussion which does not seem to be related to the beta build exactly. The ability/options to distribute this software over a network is still being tested and will be official when 1.6.0 goes live. As far as I know Serif have not released instructions as to how to distribute this beta software on a network, so I am not sure where you got the msi to redistribute, and I am not surprised it has not worked. Did you send off this crash report, as we cannot find it? Please can you tell me what you did to get the msi to try and distribute? Also, can you please confirm your use case? Serif can probably put together some real instructions for you to try for us, but the standard license for our software is a single user or machine in a business environment, so these instructions will only be given to corporate and school customers who buy the multi-user license.
  3. mrdzyn, We do not pre-announce sales. We are very close to 1.6 release, and anyone who has already bought 1.5.x will get 1.6 as a free patch/update.
  4. Yes, you seem to have missed a member of staff saying that you have to use a Serif installer on the new computer. No third party application is going to be able to assist with this. Also as I said, you should come to Community.serif.com or create a support ticket and we will assist you with this. Did you do that?
  5. I do not normally engage in private conversations, as others cannot read them and benefit/comment. However, all of the 1.6 features are already in the freely available customer beta, due for release soon. 1.6 is mainly a stability release and is not adding lots of new features. Serif do not comment on when features will be added or released, other than the feature roadmap, which does not mention macros or actions during the 1.X cycle .
  6. Willyrob444, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, where you can get support and advice about Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo software. I expect you have copied the installed files to the new computer without using the installer. All the legacy range requires to be installed and not just moved. As explained here, Support for the legacy range is all on http://community.serif.com so please go there if you need further support
  7. chuckg, Welcome to the Affinity Forums. We sell 2 products Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. Make sure you are watching the tutorial for the one that you have. If you are, then make sure you are in the correct persona (button at the top) for example file types like RAW photos open in a develop persona that is appropriate to the sort of things you do with raw files, and they do not need the text button in that persona.
  8. Soosunny, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. As MEB said, if you need to edit or create animated GIFs then Affinity Photo (and Affinity Designer) are not necessarily right for you. Just because Photoshop does something, it does not follow that our application will also do it, that is not our philosophy, I hope you understand.
  9. Waldek, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums There still aren't any plans for adding other languages (like Polish) for the software or and documentation yet. I'm sure we will announce them when we plan to add others.
  10. Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.Your camera is not in the supported list, so you will need to adjust it manually and wait for us to update the software to include more cameras. Other users have asked this very question
  11. Answered in the Questions section;
  12. Sandancer, Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums The Affinity Photo Workbook has never been sold. We were proof reading it on Friday and manufacture takes up to 6 weeks. Launch will not be until the middle of October, so the listing on Amazon should say 24-10-2017 not 2-10-2017. Amazon.com do also sell the Affinity Designer Workbook, ordering from us. As I understand it Amazon.com delisted English Designer our book by accident, but getting it relisted is proving quite difficult, perhaps it is back now, like it is on Amazon.co.uk. The German one was not affected by this. I have heard that using the Amazon listing it is possible to send to some countries that our distributor (ironically a sub=company of Amazon) will not distribute to. The Amazon listing does not mirror the pricing on the Affinity Store. All the other books on Amazon that have Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer in their name are not official Serif manuals.

  14. raukfann, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. It is not a great answer, but "when it is ready" is what we say. It is not as flippant as it sounds, but represents a philosophy that we are trying not to rush to market. There are lots of problems still to be solved, which are compounded by making our files interchangeable in that they can be opened by designer and photo also.
  15. It is Serif made and maintained, and in beta (also not on the final URL) as announced here There is probably going to be one help for both, I will find out
  16. Pennyw, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Support for the legacy range is provided on http://community.serif.com/forums, which you may need if your download entitlement has expired. 21. krzykowal, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Sorry, I think that we just found out about this problem in emails sent out to trial users since last Thursday. We have seen it in US emails forwarded in the last hour to us. I'm sorry if that is what has happened to you. The tech support department have notified those who send emails that this is happening. Please can you confirm that this incorrect price was in a trial upgrade email sent after last Thursday when the reduction in price ended. Thanks Patrick
  22. Tamer Habib, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. I think this similar question and reply in the beta forum explains that it was an oversight, and this will be coming back in the next release, sorry.

  24. pankajdubey, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Thanks for the report. We hope to release 1.6.3 in the next few days with better support for iOS 11 but, as the OS is in beta, cannot guarantee full functionality. We are obviously keen to find and fix the problems before it is the release version.
