  1. @Tourmaline, be aware I said customer betas, those released after we launch to preview fixes and more new features. The PUBLIC betas 1.7.0.376 won't ever show those personas, indeed it will stop working.
  2. We can sort this out easily next week for this user, I was just trying to get to the bottom of the problem from home (in case it was generic or common).
  3. @monzo Before launch its not available to pre-order from the Mac App Store (or Microsoft Store) sorry, but is available right now from the Affinity Store. When we launch Affinity Publisher on the 19th June, the current public "20% sale on everything" will be extended for a bit to include Affinity Publisher from all stores. So you can either choose to stick with the Mac App Store (buy after launch) or (as a beta tester) benefit from a slightly better offer by getting the 30% Affinity Store pre-order. Non beta testers are currently offered the pre-order at a 20% discount. Hope that is clear.
  4. No it won't help Pleasecan you tell me what version is shown in the 'Help' > 'About' screen. If it's 1.7.0.380 then I suspect that I know what's going on. If it's 1.7.0.367 then I'm still unclear
  5. Dear community, is everyone else still seeing the welcome feed images in Affinity Designer for Windows from the Affinity store?
  6. Ok, I don't remember if this feed is optional, but I will bear that in mind. In fact if you're still using 1.6.5 that would explain an empty feed. Have you updated to 1.7.0?
  7. Competition winners would be given it directly from Serif. Have you seen images in there before updating to 1.7.0? If this doesn't get resolved here, I will investigate this on Monday when I am back in the office.
  8. Fair point, not sure. Are you using the Microsoft store release or the Affinity store version?
  9. @craftysue If you bought from the Mac app store then your updates come automatically from there and not your serif Affinity store account.
  10. Hi, that's not normally empty. Is your firewall blocking the software from getting the welcome screen images?
  11. (AFAIK) This was reported and the developers haven't addressed this so sorry, I was wrong.
  12. We are still working through tickets, but essentially....Any reported bugs that were acknowledged by staff are still with the developers. Any reported bugs (from more than say a week ago) that seem to have been missed (not replied to) could do with a nudge by posting back in the thread please, or you can make a new thread in the bugs forum. Thanks for asking
  13. When there is a first beta of 1.7.1 (1.7.1.1) then I doubt we will use the check for updates mechanism, as so few people will be running the 1.7.0.x betas because they have been replaced by 1.7.0 release builds. However after there is a 1.7.1.1, I expect further 1.7.1.x updates will be on autoupdate until the point where 1.7.1.?? is released as a non beta build. The best way to be notified of a new "first" beta build of a cycle is to follow the appropriate forum using the Follow button top right on the one(s) that interest you.
  14. This thread is not the best place to get support. From the first post...
  15. @Mark Oehlschlager fde101 is correct. There is no customer beta of 1.7.1 at the moment, but as soon as there is the new beta build will not challenge you for a key. Yes, that's a confusing message to come from an expired beta build. It shows when the Mac App Store version has simply moved on. We should display an expired message in that case. @MattP, please can beta builds look to see if a Mac App Store version is installed, and if it is installed but is not a recognised version, add some text to that dialog to simply say that the beta does not work once the release build is updated?
  16. @AffinityFan2k19 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Newly joined members are restricted from a few forum features . Once you have been a member for a short time and made a few posts this setting changes automatically to put you into a forum group with permission to modify your profile and edit your posts. I changed this setting 5 months ago as we were getting spammers joining and setting SEO links in their profiles and editing initially innocuous posts to add spam links for SEO reasons. Since making this change the spam on the forums has dropped dramatically, but there is brief inconvenience to new genuine users such as you.
  17. @Mike.P Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Sorry about the shortcuts, they have gone unless you backed them up. We are testing a fix for this specific issue, and may well roll it out for customers who have not yet updates from 1.6.5 to 1.7.0
  18. The order page is working, yes but I think Walt's suggestion may be the simplest way forward. Or email AffinityOrders@serif.com and they may be able to assist (they are a day or so behind on tickets)
  19. Absolutely. Purchases from the Affinity store come with a 14 day money back offer. email AffinityReturns@serif.com
  20. Make a backup of 1.6.7 like this is a good idea before installing 1.7.0, as 1.7.0 has lost settings for some users
  21. From the opening post in this thread Thanks, but this is not the best place to discuss bugs or respond to problems. Please make a new thread and if possible upload the file to dropbox or ask for a link to our dropbox account or file transfer service (https://fx.serif.com for pconnor@serif.com)
  22. Absolutely it does for Photo Mac and Publisher Mac. The first Customer beta of Affinity Publisher 1.7.1 beta (requiring a purchased version to run) will read the settings on the current Public beta , This is also all true of Windows betas, except Designer and Photo Customer old betas do NOT stop working immediately a new release is downloaded.
