Perhaps they are not as large? Perhaps they do not have as many libraries (each of which gets checked each time). Our team have asked Apple what we can do and they have no more suggestions

We believe we know how to fix this but the change is unlikely to make it into the initial release of 2.4, which has reached release candidate stage. We do not think that the fix can be included in 2.4.0 as to do so would mean it would be released without sufficient time to check for any possible regressions it may cause to other camera formats, sorry. Hopefully we will start another beta soon (2.4.1 or 2.5.0) and this fix will be included.

Exporting to SVG and PDF I assume can have page sizes in dimensions that technically do not fit whole pixels Metric paper sizes for example. Perhaps it is my misunderstanding that at the root of those 2 formats they resolve down to pixels, but I was thinking they are floating point dimensions with floating point vectors defined inside them and so to artificially limit the artboard when you are not exporting to a pixel based format would be the exception to the rule. Can anyone confirm this is true (that PDF and SGV are fundamentally vector not pixel based unit formats I mean at the core code level, not just available)

Except for when the design is solely for (text & ) vector export where these restrictions are unnecessarily strict. So a document mode perhaps?

I completely agree with this for non-contiguous Artboards with whole pixel dimensions (no matter where they are "placed") and it would avoid most of the problems created by the flexibility to place them where you choose... BUT you would still have problems when artboards touch each other and are non-pixel aligned widths/heights. I ALSO feel the artboard tool should always default to creating pixel aligned and whole pixel widths and overriding would require a conscious choice.

I have improved the release notes and the latest V1 version table. @Thomas Fazanaro Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums When 2.4 is released the key object is going to be used when using the space horizontal/vertical feature too. Has your question been answered or is there something that you cannot do and if so in which application and on what platform?
