  1. Oh dear. We are not completely sure this was 100% resolved so sounds like this 2.4.2 beta is not all of the solution. Thanks for coming back and sharing
  2. @adefemioluwatobi Welcome to the Affinity forums We do not allow users to promote themselves on these forums, so I modified your post. Also a jpeg of your work might show more people what it's like
  3. Actually the dev may have used Safari, not "default" I have checked the code but will ask the dev to confirm and modify my post after Easter
  4. Yeah as part of this change list I was surprised to see it no longer installed for people just like you, but despite the 100% hit rate in this thread so far I wonder how many people actually do this.
  5. For many Affinity versions we have been aware that, on Sonoma, the macOS help system has not supported help search. Our proposed solution is for the software to use the online help with it's browser based help search at: affin.co/designer2help affin.co/photo2help affin.co/publisher2help 2.4.2.2356 beta on macOS has replaced the installed Help files with links to the online help system. I would appreciate it if you can try the help option and check it opens a (default) browser window and that the help is in the correct language. Thanks for you help checking this change.
  6. @Gerarbara Thanks that is good news. Please can you confirm that your beta is using hardware acceleration and openCL in preferences. The release and beta do not share these settings.
  7. And No seriously this is not the thread for this linux replies here will be removed
  8. Please can linux discussions be kept to the thread on that topic
  9. Sorry for this @Pyanepsion, that is obviously not the experience you should expect. I will get this investigated after the long weekend. If possible please can you keep a copy of the unmended files to one side till I can get you an upload link.
  10. Can you please let me know if this artefacting is still happening in the new 2.4.2 beta released today
  11. Please stop quoting and arguing thank you

  13. To All Readers of this thread. Forum users (other than staff) can be ignored so you do not see their posts. The easiest way is using a desktop browser you hover over the avatar for the user and a pop-up shows some details for the user including an ignore option bottom right
  14. @AffinityMakesMeSad You need to stop telling everyone that they are wrong. Just let others say what they think about this. There are many people private messaging staff saying that they do not dare say what they want to because you are being so aggressive. Lots of people are not up for rough and tumble discussions and that is not what these forums are for. If you want an argument go elsewhere. Express your opinions, fine, but do not tell others they cannot feel the way they say they do. To other readers As I am asking @AffinityMakesMeSad not to respond I would appreciate you not quoting their posts either, or I may have to hide them
  15. @OhItsStefan, @mopperle, @B064RT & @albertkinng I have split these posts from the announcement so that thread does not go any further off topic, but you are not following this new thread so I am using the @ to tell you so you don't think they were deleted (also @B064RT I love your username)
  16. Yes, The developers have addressed this issue in 2.4.2 on Windows in a way that is safe for a short beta cycle. If it is found to need more work we will need to try again during the longer 2.5.0 beta cycle.
  17. Here's a list of the bugs which have been fixed in the beta build 2.4.2 (2356) (fixes since the last release 2.4.1.2344) Please reply in this forum to comment on any fixes which are in this list (in particular to let us know if you notice that something we say is fixed isn't!) 18. I cannot allow this to stand. Gary Bates and Jim Bryce were both very long term employees in Sales and Development for well over 20 years long before they took on Director roles. They dedicated their careers to both the Serif Legacy range and the Affinity range. Please stop this
  19. We are not, we are all very excited about what has been said and the future for Affinity. This thread is about your response not ours. As an employee of 24 years I am personally very pleased about what Ash has announced and the Affinity and Canva pledge. https://affinity.serif.com/press/newsroom/affinity-and-canva-pledge/
  20. the fixlist will be made public when it is available as a beta to test in the Affinity beta forums. Until then I cannot comment on what 2.4.2 will include, sorry.
  21. This is the changes post. There are no changes appart from Lessons. but
