New feature tutorials tend come out just after the official release (to allow the feature to mature during beta). I am sure @James Ritson is working on one

That is not how the trial always works. We reset the trial, so it can be used by those who have already tried it in the past, when we decide to, so it is not automatically going to happen for 1.9.0 and again for 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 etc. We may well reset the trial for 1.9.0 as has been done a few times in the past, but it may not be reset till say 1.9.2 or 1.9.3 or perhaps not for 1.9.x at all. It is a business decision based on sufficient major new features not a programmatical based on release numbers. Any trial for version 2.0 will work for all users (I think it is bound to be reset) but we do not guarantee anyone can retry the trial earlier than that, to allow users to try the software again.

Serif replicated this ourselves almost as soon as the build went live on the Mac App Store, and I was not saying it is not a problem, sorry if it looked like that. Thanks for your offer of help with troubleshooting.

I did not claim it was perfect I said there was a way to do it for most things

@Fritz_H For those 3 examples, type 50% in any of the width fields (while using any units). This works for me

@Aidren Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums No, it means we have ADDED Big Sur support to our existing list of supported operating systems.

If the Affinity Store version does not show this behaviour then it is not strange at all, as the Beta effectively is the Affinity Store build (with a beta flag set). We could not have known that the same files when distributed through the MAS would behave differently in this respect, and it is certainly seems to be caused by something at Apples end when dealing with this now universal app. I doubt many of your other apps are universal applications, so it may be that. It is a brand new thing for the Apple architecture and the Mac App Store. If we hear any more about this we will post back here

Does it run up fast with your internet (wi-fi) turned off? It does for me

Thanks BoldLineDesign The problem here is this specific post is linked to from the update notification within our mac Affinity Store applications. It is one of the only threads that I try to control it's content and keep on topic. Customers who have never ever seen our forums before click an update notification in the app and find a thread full of bickering and strong opinions on operating systems and competitors software (sigh). It's really hard to say where this discussion does "belong". I think it would be best if I just split this whole OT discussion off to the suggestions forum, as I feel there are many here who will just ignore me anyway if I leave this plea here.

...then they just need to find a different corner of these forums to get their fix
