  1. A couple of observations. First, please be more specific about the error message. You mentioned that you have many photos in the document. If these are large files, then the pdf will be huge if you attempt to export it at 300 dpi. You may need to reduce the photo file sizes first (you can do this with Affinity Photo). Second, look for any messages in the pre-flight that have red dots. If you have, then double click on them and, with luck, Publisher will take you to the offending object so you should be able to fix it.
  2. I know that this is an old post but I have had the same problem and have found a quick and easy work-around. I copied from Word and pasted into TextEdit (Mac app, .rtf). I then recopied the text and pasted into Publisher without any issues.
  3. I've found a fix. When you export it, there's an option on the export popup to select a "preset", just under the list of export options. If you select "pdf digital - high quality" the links should work.
  4. I also have this problem with Publisher 1.9, Mac OS 11.2 and both Preview and Adobe. The links are correct in Publisher and the "Go to hyperlink target" works.
  5. I have only just started using Publisher, so I am unsure if you managed to solve this issue months ago. The way round the problem is not to remove the overflow connector but to insert a text frame break: Menu: Text>Insert>Breaks>Frame Break I hope this helps.
