  1. Hi everyone! Sorry to say that this issue is still present in 2021. I've been working on a document (on iCloud Drive) and today I got the message that I can't save my file. The program at one point shut down by itself and I feared that all my work had been lost, thankfully I was able to open the file from the Finders-app again and with all my work intact. This issue is really frustrating, there should be a warning or some technical solution on the backend that prevents this from happening, we should be able to work on files from external drives and the cloud without worrying about this.
  2. The Designer app for iPad i great in many ways but the file management gives me a headache. I’ve read the blogpost on Affintiy Spotlight several times to understand their reasoning for the file management but it still causes me confusion, I know I can’t be the only one. If I only used the iPad app I wouldn’t have this issue but moving between iPad and desktop is confusing. My issues are: 1) There is no way of knowing if a file is saved locally in the iPad app, imported from the cloud or opened from the cloud. Please make this clear with some sort of indication, grouping or anything that makes it clear to me as a user that moves between desktop and iPad. This can’t be difficult to make clear for users. 2) When I have opened a file from the cloud in the iPad app and then edit that file on the desktop the change doesn’t happen in the iPad version, there is no syncing of the changes made on the desktop to the iPad. However it seems to be syncing the other way around, changes made and saved on the iPad appear on the desktop. However I never feel certain of this and have experimented several times to understand what is happening. 3) Since I never know if a file is stored locally or on the cloud I don’t know if it is “safe” to close a document or not. Am I simply closing it on the iPad or is it still stored in my cloud storage?
  3. 2020 and this feature is still wanted (and expected). The current behavior has caused me a lot of confusion switching between iPad and Mac and it would be really nice if the documents were always kept synced. I hope this will be implemented in an update soon.
