Thanks RNKLN. It fixed my crashing, simply tweaking size or was it compression quality (I did both at once) and export to .jpg no longer crashes it

Another newbie here with a similar problem. I find that I have to flatten the image to get adjustment layers' effects to print. Other modifications, such as the Inpainting tool reach the printer OK. I have tried with printing to paper and exporting to PDF and with input profiles of JPG RAW (.CR2) and TIFF and carefully selecting the output profile to match my inks and paper. I must be missing something obvious.
