Ich habe das gleiche Problem! I have the same issue! Mac OS 10.13.6 and Affinity 1.8.4 I try to select a color and always the background color is selected... auswaehlen.mp4 -

Yes I would be happy to have this feature as well, I don't have to change some fancy text but is has to stay as it was... The first entry about this topic are from 2015...
