Excuse my bad English. I use that system a lot. For smooth work: 1.- Process each Raw, correct color, etc. and save as TIFF. 2.- Finally, open a New focus stack or a New stack with all the TIFFs. The Mac will work much faster. I make 40 or 50 TIFF batteries and it takes you a few minutes (little time).

Hi John, Also File> New Focus Stack does not have align box. Align box is in a New stack option, precisely what does not work.

focus stack does not work when photos are not well aligned, final image appears distorted. They need to be aligned first. In Photoshop it can be done, I see that in Affinity no.

We can do focus stacking with pictures aligned in a pile? When I have non aligned pictures, i import photos in a pile and I aligned them automatically. Can I do a focus stacking with those layers?
