Simply said, the execution is a bit more difficult:
Double the image of the floating body. Then mask the lower half of one of the bodies, apply a motion blur in the right direction (in this case - from top to bottom). Set layer mode (multiply or screen might work best in most cases) and adjust the opacity.
Finally make sure the masked and blurred body layer is underneath the copy in original state.
