  1. Let’s hope someone from Affinity see it and think about it.
  2. This is probably my case too. I am working with an file from AI. Although I've saved in Affinity format, it still shows this problem. Thank you,
  3. Yes @prophet. This is how Synch works. Now it is clear to me. Thank you. However, the way it works is not intuitive. One would expect that once you set a style as default, new objects would always respect the default, even if a change the style of one specific object. But, now you made it clear for me. Once one understand how it works, it is easier to adapt.
  4. Alignment in Affinity Designer is only work with object that are no text frame. Is there any special settings to alignment work with text? Thank you
  5. Ok. But if I want to use the cursor to select, how can I do it? It seem the tools are not working properly.
  6. Move tool.mov Hi Guys. I noticed you're having problem with move tool. Strangely, when I use move or node tool to select, it is not working properly. Notice in my video that it is selecting objects that I didn't select. Is it a settings problem? Can you help me? Thank you. 7. Ok @thomaso. Thank you. It seem the same unexpected problem.
  8. Hi @walt.farrell. I uploaded a video. Basically, I created a stroke with Pencil tool, set it as default. When I created another stroke it worked fine. If I change this last stroke and draw another one AF Design doesn't reproduce my default settings. Am I doing something wrong here? Thank you Screen_Recording_2020-12-11_at_12_35_30.mov
  9. Hi I've the same issue. The sync option is not working. Is there a way to fix it? Thank you
  10. It would be very useful to implement a tool for felling between lines something similar to "Live Paint Bucket tool" (Illustrator) or "Fill Bounded Areas" from Inkscape. As it seems to be a basic tool, I think you already thought of that. See figure for example. Thank you.
  11. This is a pity. Do you know if it's one of the priorities for Affinity's developers? It is an important tool because it save a lot of time and it seems to be a basic feature in all vector based softwares. Do you know if there is an official way to ask for improvements for Affinity? Thank you
  12. Hi everyone. Is there a way to fill between lines without draw a shape around it? Sorry for the comparison, but something similar to "Live Paint Bucket tool" (Illustrator) or "Fill Bounded Areas" from Inkscape. As it seems to be a basic tool, I think it exist, but I just can't find it. Maybe @MEB can help me. See figure for example. Thank you.
  13. Hi I saw it was a question from 2014. Is it already implemented? It is important to my work to have this, something similar to what we have in info box.
  14. Maybe, the best solution would be if Affinity uses an open source script that deals with ShapeFile and geographic information, and adapt it in Affinity Designer.
  15. Hi @Ogma. Thank you very much. It works fine. Let´s see if in the future Affinity can develop a way to work directly with ShapeFiles. This will allow us to keep geographic information and to export the result to QGIS or ArcGIS.
  16. Hi @Gabe. Thank you again for helping me with this. I checked the Tab Stops, they are all the same. But, I already started from the beginning. Victor
  17. Hi @Gabe, Thank you. I'm not sure if I understood when you said to "check it". How can I do it? I see no diference between Tab Stops of my Text Frames. I check it on Paragraphs tab on my right side. What I did to fix it: I copied the text and pasted without format in new document, and I reformatted everything (italics, bold, font, paragraphs, etc.). It was very time consuming. Not sure if it was the best option. Is there another way to solve the problem. Maybe Affinity can treat this and give us a way to restore the scale of Text Frame.
  18. Hi @sfriedberg and @Gabe or anyone. 😃 I am having the same issue. I would say: I didn't rescale the text frame; but maybe I did unintentionally. If I post my file, can you take a look and tell me how to fix it? I did everything you guys mentioned above. But as I am new affinity user, maybe I missed something. Is there a way to identify the text frames that have been rescaled? Thank you in advanced
  19. I don't know if the Affinity developers are aware about the usage of Illustrator, Affinity Designer and similar softwares to draw maps. It is very handy and the final figure are best than when we draw in GIS softwares. MapPublisher is a plugin that link Illustrator and GIS softwares. I highly recommend that Affinity think about to build something similar. I am sure they will bring many geologists, cartographer, ... to the Affinity users.
