The floral aka the SVG file contents is included as an embedded file into your doc. Instead try to open the SVG floral file in ADe 2, as you would open any Designer file, via "File -> Open", this should load the SVG rendered. Then add the text and rectangles as new layers. - If you want to perform a geometrical add (?) then select all layers first before performing the geom adding. - In case of still troubles, convert the rect + text layers to curves first, before performing the geom. add function on all selected layers.
