+1 as well for OCIO v2, as i'm using AgX too.
because 1 of the main reason i choose affinity back in the day is for 32-bit editing and OCIO support
-
I own all of affinity suite v1 and now i'm using v2 in trial mode to decide whether to buy it or not (especially because of the sandboxed msix issue, and no i didn't use microsoft photo to view my image). I'm quite satisfied with the v1 despite of it limitation because it got it own pros as well (former user of adobe suite here).
and this is some of the issue i'm facing right now (still trying to fit the v2 to my current pipeline/workflow, and haven't tried all of relevant software like blender, adobe substance, faststone, darktable etc, but some is already answered in this forum).
I'm using steelseries engine to map my keyboard macros to affinity, but i encounter this problem:
- cannot use the alias exe file on the user local folder because of "file cannot by accessed by the system"
- cannot use the aflauncher.exe file because it didn't trigger my custom keymap
- no it didn't accept the .bat file.
- no it didn't support arguments
- no it cannot manually type the app name
The only exe file accepted is the original photo.exe file, but it's under the affinity version number folder so i have to remap for every update
is there any other solution?
---
And another question is, i successfuly linked Capture One to afphoto, but everytime i send it to afphoto, the dialog box to choose default app is triggered (i'm using tiff file as roundtrip file and no, i dont want afphoto to become my default app to open tiff file).
how to disable it? or is there any workaround to bypass this?

Yes, it will be great if we could rotate canvas with a pen, will waiting for it 😃. maybe one of the solution is like rotation tool in PS, hold R(or some other key) and click drag to rotate.
And thx for the new beta!

This Bug is still there on the latest beta (.767), can anyone confirm it too?
-
Yes, i can reproduce this issue as well, in my case it's only happen when dealing with rectangle with the shape edited (rotated, skewed etc.), other shapes seems fine. Ah and one more thing that i notice, the issue is gone when the rectangle got an outline filled (stroke width is not 0 pt).

@salaivv I'm just copy pasting my reply on the blender.community forum, so forgive me if Fusion is mentioned there.
here's one of my reply about your exporting question:
"There are 2 possible setups here (and it's the same as in Fusion too, there are ocio in LUT preview, and ocio colourspace node). In AP, after you finished your editing/compositing, add another ocio adjustment to convert the sRGB to Linear (it would break the preview image in AF, but it'll be corrected upon exporting), from there just export it as usual to your file format destination.
In short, 2 possible setups in AP would be like this:
1. Open EXR file > set the 32-bit preview to Unmanaged > create ocio adjustment layer (Linear to Filmic RGB) and keep it in the top layer > edit your image > put another ocio adjustment (sRGB to Linear) on top of previous ocio layer > Export
2. Open EXR file > set the 32-bit preview to OCIO Display Transform (Filmic-sRGB) > edit your image > create 2 ocio adjustment like in step 1 > export
AFAIK, EXR always expecting linear colourspace upon exporting, that's why we create another ocio layer to convert it back to linear.
Those 2 steps should be identical in the image, the only difference is on the histogram/scope readout, if you want the histogram to be the same as in Blender, then go with the step 1."
Notes: in that thread i using ACES as an example, but it's the same workflow as FILMIC, the difference is just the config and colour transform u used.
And about the adjustment, it's best to place it before the two OCIO adjustment, and about your JPG or PNG file, you have to transform it to the linear space (assuming your images is in sRGB colour mode, with clipped OCIO adjustment layer) if you want to place it before the 2 OCIO adjustment so that the colour space matched.
Hope that helps.

You can activate the "Use Shift key to cycle tool group" in the Tools Preferences so that pressing the same key twice wont switches the tool, and still can assign different tool with the same key shortcut.
Hope that helps.

Ah i see, i hope it'll get fixed soon as it is quite an important/handy feature IMO.
Is there any workarounds for now to resolve the issue other than copying and pasting mask (e.g blend modes, layer order, etc)?
-
Done!
I don't know if this information helps or not:
- The document was created in AP 1.8.3, but i already tried the same setup in the 1.8.4 beta.
- I'm saving the document as Multi-Layered TIFF file (not afphoto or PSD) because i do roundtrip the file from and to Capture One, and it is the file format that supported by C1 and while retain all the adjustment layer editability (as PSD sometime rasterized some of the adjustment layer upon save, LUT adjustment for example).
Once again, thx for your reply MEB.

Hi sandyadriadi,
Welcome to Affinity Forums
Both should look the same (as the top image). Do you mind uploading the afphoto file using this link for us to check please?thx for quick reply MEB 🙏
Yes, i could upload the afphoto for you to check, do you mind if i resize the document a bit? the file size is quite big because it's still a full size image from my camera?

Hello, i'm a new user of Affinity Suite (Affinity Photo is used in this case), but i'm already a Photoshop user for almost 10 years for retouching photo.
I'm already aware that different software will have a slightly different workflow, and i'm still trying to adjust my set of PS workflow to the Affinity Photo.
I already searching on the forum about this problem i'm encountering now, and i only found that it is already possible to have a Group of Adjustment Layer with only one mask (to replicate clipping adjustment layer to below feature in PS), but i have different result between these two workflow that i'm already tried.I just want to ask, is it the expected behaviour in AP, or is it a bug? Or if there is a mistake in my approach/setup, the mask in both setup is identical BTW.
I hope the image that i'm attach is clear enough to show what i'm trying to ask. I'm still trying and prefer to get the second setup right because it make adjustment image more simple and i'm only have to deal with one mask for a group of adjustment. And pardon me for my messy English because it is not my main language.
Thank you in advance 🙏

Extremely disappointed that this installs as an "App" and not regular software program

May i know which exe file shortcut you use for streamdeck? is it from the "original" photo.exe file? because that's the only exe i could link to my steelseries engine software (already tried all the workaround), but the problem is that exe file is under the 'affinity-versionnumber' folder, so i have to link it again everytime there's an update.
thx
