  1. Thanks Mike. Then, I have no choice but going back to InDesign. I need absolutely footnotes. I was hoping to get rid of InDesign. I am extremely disappointed. I was thinking to upgrade to Photo and Designer. I will not.
  2. Hi everyone, I have been working on a book, important texts from Microsoft Word. These texts have footnotes. I just realized after 5 chapters that the footnotes are not imported, are ignored by Publisher. What is happening here? Is this a bug or I have to do something particular to make sure they are imported. Do I have to insert them one by one manually? If this is the case, this is a major problem. Any help will be sincerely appreciated... and quickly please. I will have to start all over because of this. I thought that this was automatic.
  3. Dear Mr. Farrell, Thanks again for your help! I found a video in this forum. It gave me that answer I was looking for. Be well, and be careful!
  4. Hi, I am trying to do the same thing in AffPhoto, except that I am totally unable to access/activate the R in the Transform Panel. What do I need to do for that? I am new to the software. Thanks
  5. Hi everyone, I am new to Publisher. So far I find it as good as InDesign. There is however one thing that would be very nice if it could be implemented: being able to save files in the IDML format. The main reason for that: I would be able to stop working with InDesign. It could be an extension. I would not mind to pay for it.
  6. Thanks a lot Mr. Farrell. Too bad. I will have to keep going using InDesign for one particular client that needs document in IDML. That would be nice to implement it in a future version. Bruno
  7. I read that we can import an InDesign file that has been saved in IDML format. Can Publisher save as well in IDML. I am unable to find anything about that in HELP. Any suggestion will be most welcome. Thanks!
  8. Dear Bruce, I solved it. I am working on a book without any images or illustrations. So I created a file totally for b&w. I created a new file for the cover, using that same set up. I tried a new one by using a colour setup and it works. Sorry for bothering you with that! Thanks a lot!
  9. Thanks a lot Bruce. Either with File>Place or by click on the Tool to insert an image, when selecting it, I see it on the right pane my image/photo. When I click to insert it, it loads into my AfPublisher document. There, I get simply am opaque black box. I am unable to see my image (either TIFF or JPEG). Kind of strange. Thanks!
  10. Hi everyone, As a new user, I am getting through Publisher. Very well designed. One very simple question, and surely easy to solve but I do not know where to look: when I import an image (TIFF or JPEG), I only get a black box. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot! Bruno
  11. Thanks a lot Bruce, I am originally an InDesign user. And Affinity does not use the same terms. I got mixed up. Thanks a lot! I appreciate it.
  12. Hi everyone, I am working on a book. So my document is as a double page document. When creating a PDF file, each double-page becomes a single page. How can I create a single-page PDF file, not double. My publisher needs single page. Thanks a lot!
  13. Hi everyone, I just acquired Affinity Publisher. One question: how can I show the paragraph mars, tab marks and space? I went around the app many times. I could not find anything.
