  1. Hi Just to check on the licensing for affinity products. I have bought the designer, photo and publisher version 1 and upgraded to the V2 Universal license. 1) Can I install the affinity products V2 on say a PC and laptop simultaneously? Both the PC and Laptop will be used by one user and not at the same time. 2) Can we still install affinity products V1 on say a PC and V2 products on a laptop? 3) If I had installed the V2 products on the PC and want to use them on a laptop now, do I need to uninstall the products on the PC?
  2. Hi stokerg Thank for the response. I pretty sure is not due to the temporary lost of connection to the external hard disk. Also, what I discovered recently when I save the affinity file to an internal hard disk and copy that same file to an external hard disk, I realise that I can then the open and save the same file as an affinity file to the external hard disk; this is a rather strange anomaly. I hope you can put up this issue to the developers and let them know whether it can be fixed in a later update as most people especially content creators are working on the go and off their external hard disks and this issue might affect their work flow. nyc
  3. Hi Sean Just to add, I had the same issue for Affinity Photo and Publisher as well.
  4. Hi Sean I have attached 4 photos of the process that led to the error message, description of the process as below: Photo 1) This is work in progress that I want to save on the external hard disk. Photo 2) I went to 'save as,' I do understand that if I want to output to pdf for my final product I should go to export but in this case I would like to save the file as there are still work left to do. Photo 3) Save as affinity file on external hard disk 'G'. Photo 4) This is the error message. I will not encounter the error message if I were to choose an internal hard disk. Hope the attached photo help to illustrate.
  5. I had tried both methods before, apparently they do not work. I have tried opening files using programs like Photoshop and Libreoffice and had no issue with saving to the external hard disk, therefore external hard disk should be in working condition. Also, I have no issue with opening a file from external hard disk and saving to my internal drive.
  6. Hi My hard disk is a HDD type Brand: Western Digital Model: 1Gb WD My Passport 0810 USB Device, is connected to my desktop with USB.
  7. Hi I have the Affinity Designer (ver 1.8) installed on my desktop PC running WinPro7 64bits. Whenever I save my files to an external hard disk, I always have the message 'Failed to save document; Save failed because access to the file was lost. Do you wish to save the document to a new file?' (see attach jpeg file) It is not an issue if I save the file to an internal hard disk. Kindly assist if I had missed out something, thanks. My external hard disk is not full and also not on read only mode.
