Create a batch (.bat) file containing start /min cmd /c affinityphoto2.exe %1 exit and point your program to it. If your program does not allow you to use a .bat file you could try converting to a .exe file withBat2Exe.

You have the option to create your own presets with the setting you want or create a template that includes layers containing your company logo etc. that you add to some/all of your regularly used content. You could in Ver 1 and still can in Ver 2

Windows PC. I have merge visible, rasterise & trim, Rasterise, group & Ungroup etc.

If you use /min the cmd window runs minimised to the taskbar. The /b did nothing for me. also if you use BAT2EXE it will make an exe if the program you use will not allow the use of a bat file. The Bat file I use start /min cmd /c affinityphoto2.exe %1 exit

The square brackets have always been the brush resize shortcut AFAIK and now will also alter the pen width. You can change them to other keys (Preferences > Shortcuts) if you want.

I think that this setting is a 'remember last state' setting but yeah Crop & save history default to 'the wrong setting' (for me & many others) and would be easily changed in an update.

I have a HP & a Canon printer. I also use CutePDF which converts printer output to a PDF document, all 3 have the issue. Windows 10 computer so either an Affinity or a Windows issue.

Just found out it is not only text, it happens with shapes, you have to convert them to curves. You even have to convert CURVES to CURVES (well the warp group anyway) to get them to print correctly.

For weeks now people have been advising other not to buy just yet as Ver 2 was expected. Email Serif and explain, see if they will/can help but as you have already got and used (and could keep forever) it I'm not sure if they can/will help but they helped me 6 months ago with an issue and it all happened within the hour. They are a helpful company.

Same problem here., but then I normally only crop in Photo Persona

I bought AD & APub 6 months ago and hardly used it, and still bought the full package as soon as I could. I am an amateur who makes no money out of affinity.

I have seen a lot of people saying they were promised lifetime upgrades FREE and claim Serif have reneged on their promise.

So many people complaining that the pittance they paid for version 1 does not give them free updates and upgrades for the next 50 years or more! How many of them actually bought the programs in a half price sale? Should those who paid half price get less discount than those that paid full price? If you are not happy go and rent off adobe and when you stop paying their excessive subs you will be left with files you don't have software for because they will stop you using theirs' very quickly. Or you could use gimp unless that is also out of your price range!

There is that, lol. I would have though of that one day. lol

CR3 opens in Develop and being ND means I can do almost all my PP in Develop quicker, cleaner (not loads of child layers) for me if that is the only 'extra' I use it's well worth the upgrade cost. WELL DONE SERIF

Yes that worked but it does mean text is no longer editable and if you have several blocks of text warped it would slow things down converting each one.

A workaround that worked for me was to export to jpg, png, tiff or pdf and print from there.

I tried converting to curves and it just printed out the normal text. Tried on 2 different make printers and one print output to pdf converter. Tried a Canon MG7500, a HP Envy 5000 series & CutePDF

This you may class as a workround but in A-Designer draw a shape with the pen tool rather than select, convert the object to an artboard and clip your image to the artboard. Edit in A-Photo, erase white paper then export as png to retain transparency outside of the artboard
