  1. Hehehe - no I'm sure it's me Gary! As in the 'please would you peel half of the potatoes' request joke (example attached). A perfectly logical response, the question was wrong! I will gather my logic cells together and give it another shot later. xx
  2. Hi Gary, sorry if what I have written is not clear! I can't right now but I will have another attempt at this question. Thanks anyway! xx
  3. Okay Gary, thanks! Yes that's just about it - except that they would not necessarily be centered. I am resizing to the same size as the image in the top layer, rather than to the size of the layer itself. I would like the option to rotate them all together at the same time as performing the other transformations - as required. The images are all slightly different, but must be aligned.
  4. Hi Gary, I tried the alignment/distribution function which did not work. I am interested in applying all the settings at once, not e.g. just the angle, to multiple layers. Here is an example - the uppermost layer is in the correct position a the correct size, the rest are not. Thanks again.
  5. That sounds similar NPM, so long as each image is on it's own layer. The 'paste format/attributes' part sounds like what I am specifically after in this case.
  6. Hi Garry, yes for example when transforming multiple layers to the same size, position and angle as each other. (I reduce and move the layers from their original imported size.) I carefully work with one layer to position it for the desired effect, and then have to apply the settings from the Transform dialogue box one-by-one to the other layers so that they are stacked perfectly beneath the edited one. Doses this make sense? Whereas if the values for one layer could be Copied and Pasted to multiple other layers, that would help lots.
  7. Request for: Copy and Paste the selected values from e.g... the Transform dialogue box. Including the option to Paste and apply the copied settings simultaneously to multiple selected layers/objects - via the same dialogue box. This would enable much faster multiple layer and object transformations. This would probably be useful in other dialogue boxes too. Tx xx
  8. Hi, I can't remember the route that I took now (although that looks right to me: Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows), but I do remember starting at the top level and drilling down. That's all I can remember now.
  9. Thanks Alfred. The section drop down would only allow me to select the Resources section. I will try Gradient Map Adjustment - thank you very much for the link. P.S. I have over 60 colours to map to the gradient...? That might take a while. I will see if I can reduce this.
  10. Is it possible to use a colour palette to posterize image, please? Can APhoto map all colours from an image to a palette, and/or to closest colour, in this way? tia xx
  11. Here here. Resizing the whole file, with or without layers, by percentage is an essential production and housekeeping tool. Currently requires finding a 3rd party software to perform this task. If it could be built into the 'Resize Document' dialog box that would be a great addition! Tx. xx
  12. Great - thank you very much. Great solutions and also appreciate the workaround options which are always good to know. Cheers everyone. xx
  13. Hi, please could somebody tell me how to find / display pixel coordinates for each of the four corners of a rectangular image selection? (I need to make a variety of selections within an image and to know exactly which part of the image each selection represents.) I don't mind whether this is via Photo, Designer or Publisher BTW. TIA xx
  14. Oh okay thanks. The penultimate Beta release seems to have fixed the problem so I'm very happy about that. xx
  15. Hi Pauls and Alfred, Thanks very much for your input. Just to clarify/respond again - I was rasterising everything while exporting the PDF because I believe that many people's home setup (PCs, colour printers) would be able to print a raster PDF file more easily than a vector one. I'm talking about non-designers with no specific 'design' software or utilities, who would be sending a PDF straight to their home printer. Do you think this supposition is fair, or probably not true? Thanks again for any advice. xx
  16. Thanks Pauls. Also an update - I downloaded the latest Beta for AD (email received this afternoon) ... and the problem seems to have been worked on. The white flower font on the white background is no longer showing an outline. xx
  17. Hi Pauls, (if that question was for me ...) I am exporting to PDF, to be printed on home printers with no font dependancies. xx
  18. Thanks Pauls. That is quite high! I really need this to work at lower dpi's than 600 to be of use. Rasterisation at 100% quality (even down to, say 60%-ish quality) I would have thought should not really be causing these additional lines around fonts ...?? Is it something the Dev. team are looking into do you think? Thanks very much again. Txx
  19. Hi Pauls, Thanks for your reply. I am currently exporting at 300dpi - it should be fine there I would have thought? (I can't go too high as I need to keep my exported file size down, but it does need to print crisply on domestic printers.) What dpi did you have in mind pls - is there a sweet spot?
  20. Hi there, pleaes could you let me know if there has been any progress on this issues? Is there something else that I can try? Thanks very much. xx
  21. Hi Mykee, no reply to my last post as yet, but perhaps it is being worked on right now? Me too - I need export of files without artefacts. I'm sure it will be fixed tho'! x
  22. Hi Joh, thank you, that makes sense. I have tried at 100% quality setting but am still seeing lines! I have attached the latest PDF export along with a screenshot of the settings ... xx TEST 001.pdf
  23. Hi Jon, that example PDF was exported from the original AP file. Yes, that is correct - the lines *only* appear in the PDF (around the font, and around the rectangle) after exporting. There are no lines, no applied effects or other artifacts in the AP file. I do not have access to the font file at present but will do later this week. [ Edit: I have just attached the PDF export as requested. I can still see lines (or something!) around the flower font, and around the yellow rectangle (created with the 'Shapes' tool). I have also attached the font. ] Thanks again Jon. Tanya xx TEST 001.pdf DT Flowers 1.ttf
