in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

Hi everyone,
I decided to try out the trial version of Affinity Designer to see if I wanted to purchase it. I have 87 days left on my trial but for some reason, when I tried to make a canvas to experiment today I can only see my canvas. No tools are anywhere. I have quit Affinity Designer and restarted my Mac but I'm unsure of what I have done. I have a screenshot of what I can see but I'm also unsure of how to insert it :/
