in iran we had somethings like that for a long time it seems... (never noticed till now) There is Roya writer, Maryam writer and etc...
Roya I think is free.
Maryam costs less then 3 usd in here.
And there is some more I didn't bother to check.

Roya writer is not perfect but the outcome 100% works.

There isn't a statement like that, as far as I know.
But users might appreciate having at least a statement that LTR languages/scripts are supported, but RTL languages/scripts are not. Though perhaps Serif just expects users to discover that during their free trial period, if it's important to them. I can understand the marketing team not wanting to specifically state limitations like that; marketers generally don't discuss missing functions or negatives about their products.

Indic scripts are LTR but are not supported. Potential users might not appreciate being misled about their support.

Sorry i don't understand your question.
There is only about 4-5 graphic design software (adobe, corel, inscape, affinity, and... one or 2 more very small ones). why in the world should one of them (or one of them) be created in the "Arabic world"? is there really there 2 worlds?... maybe the "Chinese world" needs a graphic application created in china?... no, a popular software supports all languages.
(sorry for my bad English - maybe someone can explain my point better)

you can always try writing in inkscape then convert to path and bring it to affinity. it's a vector so you can do much more with it.

Just downloaded Affinity Publisher - any plans to support r-to-l in any of your products? I have many clients who need English and Hebrew support and would value having something other than Adobe to make use of.

I love affinity photo but I'm so glad I did not bought affinity designer! I use Inkscape and even inkscape (a free program btw!) can do Arabic!
Edit: also that site is a hit or miss in writing so I import my writings from inkscape!

this no new in RTL i think Musaed is right to renewed his Adobe CC first step in any project Multi Language in egypt we 100 Million Person if we have 2 Million Work on Graphic Design u lose them i talk about egypt only at least u got 100 thousand from 2 Million if you fix ur small bugs :D 
 

i trying to use your product but you have problem with Arabic Text From 2015  ( https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/9580-adding-arabic-text/ )
and now after 4 Years with version 1.7 still with no arabic text  , how i change Adobe if u can't fix this stupid bug with RTL , Please help us with that problem , you put Hebrew and Arabic in Typography only
we need fast fix please
