After updating to Affinity Photo 1.9 (Windows 10), I couldn't open any new or existing files until I unchecked Edit - Preferences - Performance: Hardware Acceleration. After that, it worked fine. Yesterday I installed AP 1.9.1 and re-enabled Hardware Acceleration out of curiosity, but run into the same issues: stuck while opening, no way gracefully exiting the program. Screenshots attached. Disabling HA solved it again. Lately, I've been using Affinity Designer 1.9 (now 1.9.1) a lot. Never had a problem although HA has always been enabled! So, this should rule out any driver versions or Win 10 settings. Maybe my observation helps troubleshooting?

Just in case, somebody else runs into this: I uninstalled and then did a new install of AP. Now I've got the ratios all back. Tried a repair first, but that failed.

I can't get any of the preset crop modes in AP (1.8.3.641) anymore. Unconstrained and Original Ratio still work, but when I switch to Custom Ratio and then click the Settings icon, I get an empty window. Strangely, the mode changes to 4px x 3px, which I can overwrite. But overwriting doesn't have any effect, the window is still empty and next time I use the crop tool it is back to the 4 x 3px. I tried several simple JPGs without any prior editing. Any ideas? Thanks!
