  1. it is really strange and unbelievable, that at least after 4 months or more, there is no hardwareacceleration available - although promised from SERIFLABS! -especially when acceleration works for older GPUs like thr RX 580 ... There should have been more than pushing the problem to AMD and its driver. There should be a cooperation between SERIFlabs and AMD, to find a solution for all the disappointed users, who bought actual GPUs. That's not the way I understand "support"; this is "leaving me alone" with the problem.
  2. hello, I plan to change the computer platform, because I’m more and more dissatisfied with APPLE and MacOS; I dislike proprietary or closed Systems, and APPLE appears to perfect that with the change from Intel- to ARM-processors. By the way I can’t find a new expandable APPLE computer for a reasonable price. I still use a Mac Pro 5,1 with Radeon RX 580 and all AFFINITY apps with Mojave. Now, after AMD offers really powerful CPUs, I plan my first WINDOWS-PC, and I like to know which graphic-card is necessary at least or "comfortable" to work on with AFFINITY apps on WINDOWS. Do the AFFINITY apps use or support NVIDIAs "CUDA"; is there a beneficial effect on using NVIDIAcards? Are AMDcards useful too? thanks for your replies, Jens
  3. when I'm Working on an adjustment or a layer-filter, I like to compare the actual adjustment I made with the status before without this adjustment(-layer),layer-filter. I don't want to switch from the Adjustment-/Filter-setting-dialog-window to the adjustment-layer for toggling the layer on and off. I think it's smarter just to click on a "BYPASS"-button to compare. best regards and thanx a lot for the tutorials, you're doing a great job :-)) yancire
