  1. Holy smokes, copy and paste, I would not have thought of that. Thank you. I want to apply the same recolor layer adjustment to several images. I created a preset.... but could not find how to use the preset on other images. The pasting of the copied adjustment layer is fast and easy.
  2. @walt.farrell, holy doodle! you hit the nail on the head. I never would have gotten there on my own. I feel like I have to learn the secret handshake to get the hang of AF. Once I clicked on Edit Detached, an orange bar showed up (I'm guessing that is the one you mean). This allowed me to select Recolor options. Well it sure shows the difference between dedicated userslike yourself and @Old Bruce to beginner : ) I greatly appreciate the time you take to advise me. p.s. I find it interesting that my RECOLOR choices (hue, saturation, lightness and blend mode) produce different results in Publisher vs Photo for the same values on the same image. Maybe it is impacted by the colour of my master page background in Publisher (I don't have that set in Photo). On with the digging and learning. thx again all.
  3. hi again @Old Bruce one screen only... just my MBA. Nor split screen. I even hit the show all open apps (f3) to see if the popup is hidden behind another window or on another desktop.... nowhere to be seen. btw, the flow you show and describe is exactly the what I did, only the Recolor box appears then disappears in a sec. I have a handful of straws : )
  4. hi @Old Bruce I had clicked where you described as well as elsewhere in the vicinity. Each time re-starting from opening the file. Upon getting your latest advise, I tried again. I also tried clicking another image, then selecting the recolor layer again and double clicking in the area you identified, no luck. Just a zoom to selection. I even tried clicking the layer adjustment> recolor with the recolor adjustment layer selected. I just get another recolor adjustment layer. I wonder if it could be the MAC OS? You're on 10.xx and I'm on 11.1 btw my mba is MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018) though newer maybe not enough power for layer adjustment recolor to work well. thanks again for your input.
  5. Hi @Old Bruce, thanks for taking a look at this. As per your suggestions.... I tried recolor in Publisher and Photo persona, unfortunately, no difference, neither worked. Yes, my layers panel does show an added recolor layer. On double click I get zoom to selection. But no popup to allow more adjustments. I attached a screen record of selecting the image, clicking on recolour Layer adjustment, the popup showing and disappearing, once the image turns red, I double click to get a zoom of the selection. But no recolour popup box, not even a flash. Looks like I will be recoloring in AF Photo and replacing the image. I noticed the flash of the popup box was slower while I was screen recording. Oh well, thanks again anyways. Screen_Recording_2021-02-02_at_12_55_14.MOV
  6. I am hoping someone can help or shed some light on this problem. I could not find anything similar in the forum. af Publisher has a recolor adjustment in layers. I want to change an orange to a green in a layer. But upon clicking RECOLOR a popup flashes on my screen, disappears and my image is changed to red. Wow! i tried the recolor layer adjustment on the original image as a stand alone in AF photo, no problem. Orange becomes green of choice. I can even save my choices as a preset and name it. I'm on a mac bookair, on big sur 11.1. af publisher 1.8.6, the latest. AF photo 1.8.6. My book is about 900mb (could that be the problem?) lots of images. af photo gives me a work around. Great, but a faster work flow would be doing the recolor in publisher as i have over 100 images to change. Your insights would be appreciated.
