  1. No probs I have discovered what you were telling me. That was confusing. Mental relief. Thanks buddy. 👍
  2. Thank you for taking the time to respond, much appreciated. i must be a dummy because I still don’t under stand. i go into adjustments. I go to curves. I want the curve spline. There is nothing. i go to some other adjustment options and it provides me with a context menu for that adjustment. i go to others and it doesn’t. as an example above. How do I find that curves spline?
  3. Hi everybody, I am not an affinity noob but I have this affinity photo iPad issue that has been driving me bonkers. Probably is a basic error. I have seen some answers online but they are making no sense to me. Check out the video. where is that curves spline and the context menu toolbar? some other adjustment options are now showing either? i have heard that it is set in presets? No idea where these are or what that means. it has worked before? Could it be explained as if I was a 3year old. Any solutions will be gratefully received before I smash the iPad screen over my head in frustration......... Kindest regards. IMG_1464.MP4
  4. Hi, I am following an online tutorial for affinity designer for iPad. I have already encountered a bug or a problem. I have 2 layers stuck permanently on the screen from a previous project? Does anyone know how to remove them? Thanks IMG_0242.MP4
  5. Omg. Watching back my own video with clear eyes I have realised what I am doing wrong. i am copying my second selection from the wrong layer........... i feel like a right numpty now. Apologies for wasting anyone’s time. Big lesson learnt for me. Choose the right layer to work on. 🥴
  6. Is that done on an iPad or the desktop version. I have never been able to do this. Still can’t. It is been driving me nuts, my only work around was what has been suggested to me. Use an additional tool, refine selection and output as a layer. Very odd. Have a look at one screen recording, perhaps I am making a nooby mistake! kind regards. IMG_0237.MP4
  7. Did you do that on the iPad version of affinity? I am not able to replicate that. Never have? IMG_0237.MP4
  8. I am interested how you are making your selections without entering the selections persona using the shapes tools and pen tool. I have not seen that before. 🤔
  9. Thank you for going to the effort to explain this. What a relief. The issues I have seem to be with the cult and paste method..... Cheers 👍
  10. Thank you for the reply but I can’t make it work. Following your instruction, I can copy and paste my first selection using the refine tool, no problem. Untick layer as you say. When I select my next selection and refine, the refine tool won’t work correctly. It does not bring up the red background. When I try and output to a new layer again I get the same issue. A blank layer with marching ants where my selection has been made but no copied image. The only way I can think of doing this is to cut and paste one selection. Save it as a jpeg. Reopen it and cut and paste my second selection. So on so forth😟
  11. I am using an iPad Pro 2020 with affinity photo 1.8.3 Here is the bug, which I have spent hours trying to find a work around to and failed. 1. I enter selection persona and make any selection of my background layer. 2. I copy and paste the selection to a new pixel layer. 3. I de-select the section. No problem, I have copied and pasted my selection. here is the problem. 4. I return to the background layer and enter selection persona again. 5. I select Another area of the background layer. 6. I copy and paste again. 7. THE NEW SELECTION IS NOT COPIED AND PASTED ONTO ANOTHER PIXEL LAYER AS BEFORE. THERE ARE MARCHING ANTS AROUND THE SELECTION ON THE NEW PIXEL LAYER, BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO COPY THE SELECTION. I have wasted hours trying to find a work around.
  12. Hi there. New user but have just completed 2 online affinity photo iPad courses with Udemy and affinity revolutions. I am just getting use to the features but have come across a problem that I can’t find a solution to online. Can anyone help. I’m using the ipad pro 2020. Latest version of affinity photo installed. This is my problem. i import a photo, and select and area of that photo. I am able to copy and paste that onto another pixel layer any amount of times. That’s great. Deselect. I Then select a new area on the same original background photo. Marching ants appear as usual. when I try to copy this selection on to a new pixel layer, it won’t paste. Marching ants appear on blank pixel layer but no image. Have spent hours racking my brain. Is there a way to clear the copy and paste “memory” ? kind regards
