  1. Well, for these particular images, it looks like rotating the weave 10 degrees and exporting to JPEG is the solution that works if I use Affinity Designer. I tried exporting to PNG without rotating the weave and the resulting images had the same wavy lines. It does seem odd to me, however, that the original image files are JPEGs and they display the horizontal weave without distortion. For shits and giggles, I resized the original images to the desired dimensions using Apple Quick Actions and the images are perfect (although I have to see if I can edit the actions to save using progressive compression). Thanks to everyone offering up ideas!
  2. The images are for fabric options of products on my e-commerce website. There are small swatches (50 x 50 px) that a customer clicks to select a particular fabric and there's another page that displays larger versions (200 x 200 px) so they can get a better sense of the colors relative to one another since the small versions are harder to discern. The file has many layers with different image swatches in each layer. All are sized to 500 x 500 px, which is the same dimension as the document. The images with the wavy lines are 200 x 200 px, while the smaller ones are too small to see anything is wrong.
  3. When I export fabric swatch images from Affinity Designer (v 1.10.5) to progressive 100 quality JPGs, the generated image file has wavy lines. What is causing this distortion and how can I fix it? EXPORT SETTINGS GENERATED JPG
  4. I messed around with the original Designer file and then placed it again in the parent file. All good now. Thanks for checking.
  5. When I export to PDF from Designer (Mac version), certain graphic elements switch from white to black. I have multiple instances of the element within the graphic file and each one displays improperly. All other similar elements display fine and were created/added using the same process. Attached is a PNG version of the file and a screenshot of one section of the PDF
