Is there any possibility separated mode will ever return?

I recently discovered Hammerspoon, which allows me to script (albeit inelegantly) actions with Affinity tools. Hammerspoon uses the Lua language and lets me simulate mouse clicks and text input, besides OS operations, which lets me, for instance, rotate an image one degree, export it with a unique name include the rotation angle, and repeat for the desired number of times.
The advantage of Hammerspoon is that as I use more and more apps (VSCode, Affinity) that will never add an AppleScript library, I still have scripting options.
It's not perfect, but then, waiting 5 years with no progress isn't perfect either.

Indeed. Came here looking for exactly that feature. A mite tedious clicking "edit" for each swatch or item, copy hex code, paste to my list, lather, rinse, repeat.

Thanks, @Hangman @Pšenda , but mouse is mouse. The process NOW is 'click the 3D effect' so 'click something else' isn't an improvement.

Assume you are talking about the 3D fx from the Layers panel, if so, there is currently no way to implement the 3D fx directly with a keyboard shortcut.

One of the many cases where the forum's search engine fails completely. Try searching with Google Search instead, which gives far more relevant results.

Woke up this morning, bought the full suite, and 10 minutes later requested a refund. Pointless to have two huge monitors on my Mac and have to use the app like it was a giant iPad.
Nearly as disappointing, now the chronic annoyances I was waiting to be fixed will never be fixed because the version I'm stuck using will never be updated.

One window is apparently the main window. I didn't try to resize it once I realized the toolbar can't be detached, as in Separated Mode. The whole point was to have ALL the tools on one monitor and ALL the documents on the other. When a bunch of tools are connected to the primary document, that's not possible. It's a deal breaker for me.

I can't speak to your experience, @walt.farrell , or to what others did or didn't say, but I have loudly proclaimed the joy of Separated Mode since the day I bought Photo, and never saw it touted as a solution to anything.
But, no, even if the 3 of us who used it all day every day had written epic poems praising Separated Mode, it was clear from the confused responses to my very first forum post, and the ongoing 'eh?' every time I asked if this, that, or the other challenge with Separated Mode for Mac was ever going to be addressed in an update, that it was one of those times that the squeaky wheel, instead of grease, got replaced. (Now that's a song I DID write.) No profit-seeking enterprise is going to throw money at an obscure challenge affecting a tiny user base. I'd love to have seen it fixed, but Serif is a business, not my buddy with a programming company.
It is what it is. Back to using v1, and now that I know I'm on my own, munging some scripts to fiddle with the issues myself.

Why the argumentative tone? I did not buy it blindly, I bought it with full confidence in the company selling it, based on years of experience with the previous version. And I have, in fact, already requested a refund, so I don't need your instruction to do so.
There was no "argument" and we're not making a "feature request." We are expressing our disappointment. If you are not disappointed, your comments might possibly show a lack of perception of our perspective.
If you're walking past a conversation in which you have no interest, and which, in fact, seems to annoy you, rather than butting in and telling those involved to change their behavior, why not just keep walking? Your only comments here have been negative ad hominem pokes, adding nothing, and riling normally calm and reserved people like me who, frankly, don't need or deserve your attitude.
If you have something productive and helpful to say, spell it out.

Permanently, or only for that session until you close and reopen the app? Mine will do that for the rest of a session (usually, not always) but each restart it begins again.

On my dual-monitor Mac, all dialogs still open behind the tool panels on my secondary monitor. Tedious to have to move every dialog, every opened file, onto the other monitor.
If this is not where bug/non-implemented features go, please point me in the right direction.

You can assign a custom Keyboard Shortcut to Layer > Arrange > Move Outside (Designer & Publisher) or Arrange > Move Outside (Photo) to achieve this

Indeed, @thomaso. I finally realized that @GarryP's first attempt would work in combination with a simple circle. A line from the center, duplicate, resize, change angle, power duplicate, then put a circle over the center. I got stuck trying to make the tool do what I wanted instead of just finding a way to get the result.
@GarryP Exactly correct, but if I use the node tool to resize, it doesn't seem to power duplicate. However, this all seems to be expected behavior, as you say. Thanks for digging in.
