  1. Hello everyone, I would like to ask for a solution to the following problem which I have encountered in Affinity Designer on Windows: I am drawing a fantasy map and for this i want to use several pixel layers (images) to fill the terrain of my continents and apply certain noise/ distress effects. The layers should not affect the sea areas, however. To do this, it is easy to place the pixel layers inside my continent curve to achieve the effect which I desire. However, I also have a large number of islands and I want them to receive the same terrain and the same noisy filters as the main lands. I could copy my filter/noise/distress layers and drag-drop them on every single island, but this seems unnecessarily complicated. I wanted to somehow group all islands together, but I cannot apply pixel layers only to groups without affecting every single layer beneath as well. I know I could also join all the islands together into one big curve, but this is also not what I want, as I would like to keep every land mass separate from each other, to be able to re-edit and re-work them later in the process. Is there a way to non-destructively join or group curves together and apply apply pixel layers to them (and only to them)? Thanks in advance and happy Easter everyone! Jonas
  2. Hello everyone, Software: Affinity Photo on WIndows Problem: I'm trying to cut a part out of a layer by a simple rectangle mask. I need it to be a really precise, pixel-sharp edge. But no matter what I try, Affinity won't let me, it always softens at least one pixel at the edge. I suppose this is really simple, and I'm really sorry if this question has been asked multiple times before, I just couldn't find an answer to it in the forums. Yet it's so basic, it's driving me nuts. Thanks for any help or links to forum threads that I have missed! Jonas
