I use a Kensington "Expert Mouse" trackball with my Mac. I love the trackball but I am having some issues with the Kensingtonworks software that provides extra button & other functions. I am currently running without that software, & it still works, but the 2 top buttons are not functional, nor is the custom tracking speed+acceleration curve I would like to use.

You get only the Designer Persona (from the Designer application) and the Photo Persona (from the Photo application). You do not get the other Personas from either application. But as RNKLN mentioned, why do you need the Pixel Persona when you have the more capable Photo Persona?

If you need every Personas from APhoto/ADesigner, for example Export Persona, you must switch to application via "Edit in.."
    StudioLink offers basic application features.

Also be aware that even though you can activate Photo or Designer using StudioLink in Publisher you will not be able to use vector or bitmap brushes you installed in Photo or Designer. You will have to install them AGAIN in Publisher.

AP opens them, text layers are preserved, smart objects also (not 100%), hidden effects in a PSD will be discarded, cutting paths (do not know the translation) have to be converted to vector masks. Maybe someone else wants to jump in with more information?

just a little further down the page you can find this thread:
If you don't bother you can read 25 pages of conversation on this topic 🙂
The short answer is: don't expect it any time soon (if at all).

Correct. But you can switch easily to APublisher (if installed) with File -> Edit in ...

It’s only in Publisher because that’s the way Serif want it to be; we, the users, have no say in that.
You can think of Publisher as the ‘hub’ for Studiolink.
Studiolink is not something you can install. It exists in Publisher, and only Publisher, by default.
You should be able to access the Designer or Photo Personas of Studiolink from Publisher if you have got either Designer or Photo already installed.

No, you can't have them in the Designer Persona. They are raster brushes, and the Designer Persona uses vector brushes.

Hi Juan, there isn’t really a best preset or even a best size, it really depends on the application of the image, the website it’s going to be placed on etc. Keep it simple, text can be added with HTML and or CSS but be mindful of where the text will sit, you can add text to the image to visually see where and how it affects the image so you can place elements in the right places you don’t have to export the text with the image.
Some examples of hero banners can be seen here: https://dribbble.com/tags/hero_banner

Juan T reacted to firstdefence in How to Create Background Images for Websites' Hero Banners
Hi Juan, They are quite simple to do.
The actual image doesn’t have a green background, it is also an SVG file on the site and it’s size is 2667 x 840, the green gradient background is created in CSS I believe and the actual image doesn’t have the gradient background.

Take a look at this file to see how it was built: fontawesome hero.afdesign
This is how the banner was built for the Brave site: Brave.afdesign
