It might make things easier if the feature is split into three types, side notes, footnotes, and endnotes. Or, perhaps, a general notes feature with sane presets for each type.

I want this. It seems like an excellent product but I can't do it without some type of ability to cite footnotes or endnotes. Is this feature in the works? If so, when will it be implemented?
