Please ignore No.2. I've now installed updates for Photo and Designer and the .afpub files are opening in the correct programme. Thanks.

    Hi Patrick.
Just installed the update and tested the paragraph panel issue... 2 things,
    1. That option is now working properly. Thanks.
    2. If I drag and drop a .afpub file on to the Publisher icon, the file opens in Publisher, however, if I double tap a .afpub file, it opens up in Affinity Photo for some reason.

I experience such an unexpected change of font size in two ways:
a.) Click very short on the arrow next to the size field –> it makes the last used size become selected, for no recognizable reason:

font size unwanted with short click.m4v
b.) Click a little longer on the arrow next to the size field to open the menu. Now try to leave the menu without selecting any size by moving the cursor away from the menu –> the bottom value gets unintentionally selected and its size assigned:

font size unwanted with menu open.m4v
While the first (short click) might be a feature (?), the second (leave menu) must not result in a change of a value, in particular the UI still shows in the menu the previous size as ticked.
    This also occurs in APub.
To me both behaviours are confusing, especially compared to the click on the stroke UI in the toolbar, where I often think/feel that a click on it would make it become a slider and would allow to alter the width quickly. But instead it needs a click first to get access and open the separate stroke dialog window. So, sometimes it needs a click to get access at all, sometimes a click opens a menu but doesn't need a selection, and sometimes a click changes a value.

Hi Sean. I may have made a mistake on this one.
After rolling over the various sizes in the drop down menu I clicked on the menu bar at the top to get out of the size drop down menu but the text stays the same size as the last size that was rolled over in that menu. I've just realised that if you click again anywhere in the black area outside of the image, that text reverts back to it's original size. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that before but it's doing it now so apologies for the wasted time.

When the export menu option is selected multiple times consecutively, its window starts to rise up and eventually disappear.

    Hi,
It's because the resolution of this image is low, when you display the rulers and put them in pixels, you'll see the whole image is only 100 × 100 pixels.
In AD it'll look fine since it's showing vectors, but in AP it'll show you pixels, the same as if you had exported this image to JPG or PNG, and since there's few pixels… it's pixelated.
You can check how it looks when exported to pixels, using those icons in AD

You'll have to enlarge them in AP once opened, or to enlarge them in AD before exporting them (since you can't set a different size when exporting to EPS).

Haha, I was too lazy hitting this submit button!

Afromalone reacted to Fixx in Why is my file pixelated?
    1. Because as Photo is a pixel editor it tends to display vector files as they will be in pixels.
    2. As in 1.
OK, you might want to check the physical dimensions of the file. At the moment there does not fit too many pixels in it.

    - open the eps file in Photo
    - Document -> resize canvas (opens as 100 x 100; change to 1200 x 1200 for example)
    - then use move tool to resize the  artwork
    - result

    edit:
    as others already mention:
    - photo is a bitmap editor, so it converts vector curves to pixels.
    - Designer is able to export png's so you don't need to use Photo (keep the dpi settings of your export in check), and maybe scale the artwork as a whole
    In Designer:
    - Switch the view to Pixel to preview the export (View -> View mode -> Pixels)
    - File -> Document Setup -> change the width and height of the document (change the dpi settings if necessary)
    - Then resize/scale the artwork (the screenshot is in Pixels view mode)

When in the paragraph tab, if you select the 'use space before' drop down menu, there are 3 options. Rolling over any of these options automatically selects it instead of the user having to click on it. I couldn't work out why my formatting had changed until I went back to this menu and found this bug.

Many people have asked for editable text in PSD Neo, is there a reason it has to be PSD?
    Have you tried PDF?
All of the Affinity apps work with the PDF portion of an Adobe file, so it follows that PSD is a bit redundant when working Affinity to Adobe and visa versa; unless I’m missing something that PSD does over PDF?
