Hi I am new here, but I am working on a beta copy through TestFlight app, this problem is part of the new fix, you may have to talk to a staff member for timings etc. but beta one is very stable and smooth.
the answer then is it is in the middle of getting fixed

So far the beta version feels very smooth and steady compared with the 10.2

Does anyone know if I can empty the cache on iPad designer app and the photo app?
I like to keep the screen updates on as I work, but it uses my iPad memory storage like a fierce lion desperate to eat! Lol and fills its belly so fast I have to keep it switched off.
in the past, when I realised what was taking my storage up, the only way i could find was to delete the app and reinstall from fresh.
I have no problem doing this as I save my work to iCloud then carry on after the app is downloaded.
I do know I can delete files if I dig into my iPads storage and delete some files one by one etc, but it’s not the best way to carry on.

Hi legh yes i agree you did put this message out, you have very kindly given me a little more information, buy i also asked why there is nobody as far as i have seen anybody direct from serif! Plus i dont know my way around on here very well and maybe its the only way to get information etc. This is always confusing, as a company owner in my previous life before i was struck down with medical, i would not put out customer information through a third party, if i did i dont think the customers would stay very long.

Itvwould be nice if someone from serif actually told us all what is happening and if they know a way of getting around it untill they have fixed it.
all i see in here is that we are all loosing work and we are all geting frustrated because of it all.
then everybody is just spending time trying to get around it, so can we hear from someone who is actually from serif and is working on it or a solution instead of all of us running round trying to unsucssfuly avoid it crashing!
The photo is exactly the same.
i feel totally left in the dark with serif, no answers, sometimes i feel these forums they tell us to use, is just a way 0f not talking to their customers, then leaving it to us in here to figure out what to do, the ones who have very cleverly built this software need to talk to us!

Yea its annoying as i have invested a lot of time and costs in these programmes, most days i can only use my ipad due to my position i am in.
i tried my imac as i have invested in all the mac and ios software programmes inc the books etc, it works fine on my mac but today is a day i cannot get onto it to complete my work.
the photo app on ios is also crashing the same way!

Yea i am doing the same, you can set in the designer to save cache screen updates but uses an emense amount of memory

Just to let you know the photo app is doing the same, as i thought i might be able to do some of my work on the photo app, but no nothing sorts it out?
am getting frustrated now

My designer on ipad pro 4th gen ios 15.0.2 is crashing all the time,its always in the area of the layers studio, either touching a layer to dosomething on, or opening the drop down list to be able to lock a layer or anything in these areas is causing the crash.
it happends nearly all the time, its the only thing i have to work with .
Is there any answers as to why ipad designer crashes? All i see is all of us saying what is going on but no corective action given out.

To follow 0n i have tried all the usual, deleted the app, downloaded three times now, shut down everything then turned off ipad waited, still no change, its getting anoying, i may have to look around if this keeps going on.
i have all your software andvall your books, so i have paid out a lot for your programmes.
i would like an answer, not just reading compliants

Hi can anybody advise me of how to transfer my designer work (doing winecellar programme from my book) from iPad Pro to MacBook Pro Without SOME of my layers turning into pixel?
i like to use both due to my disability, I have to change how I work, but I would prefer MacBook as this has the full programme downloaded.
have tried Many different ways of sending to my Mac! But this just seems to happen all the time, but not on all my layers, whether it’s curves or not some curves stay ok and some change to pixels, very strange! I cannot see a regular change with certain layers, I have tried all the psd various options but I am just stuck.
any ideas please, I have used all the drop down options just before you send, so no good giving me the same advise in this area please.
