In the end the solution was simple and given by someone else.
For others that run into this problem:Go to the top right where your fill color is, click on the color.
Then you will see opacity at the bottom of colors. Click opacity circle twice and the noise slider works again. -
Hi,
I adjusted the noise of a layer with a curve on it and set it to 27%. However I now can no longer adjust it.Layers I haven't adjusted yet, I still can adjust.
As you can see in the screenshot I selected a curve layer (the brown part) and it has noise (I set it to 27%), however now the noise level is not accessible. The Opacity slider isn't even accessible.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It's a weird system that is completely new to me. I will have to remove all Affinity products it seems to make sure everything runs smooth :-(.

I am completely confused. I have installed Windows 11 fresh two weeks ago and used affinity-photo-2.2.1.msix to install Affinity Photo.
So what you all are saying is that this is not good and I should uninstall this and install another version? Where do I find that version?

Hi v_kyr and Psenda,
I am not a fan of using .exe files without eaxtly knowing what's in them, what they do and how to use them.
Besides this must be doable without resorting to using additional exe files?!

No I used the correct path I just gave that example as that was the one I found in the thread that Psenda mentioned.
I don't understand why this is so difficult. When I used Photsohop it was easy. -

I often use a screencapture program and need to adjust what was captured. In this program I can click on edit and it opens the image captured in my preferred editor.
So I wanted to add Affinity Photo as my preferred editor in the settings.
I know it's location:C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPhoto2.exeBut when I try to add it the system says:
AffinityPhoto2.exe
This file cannot be accessed by the system.I am unsure how to add Affinity Photo as my preferred editor now. Any suggestions?

No wonder I couldn't find it LOL. Weird though as it is a very useful and I assume rather simple feature to implement seeng it IS part of Designer..

Hi,
I am used to the stroke panel in Designer but can't seem to find it in Photo. I see the stroke option in the bar but I prefer to work with the panel.
Is it not part of Photo?

Darn, I am following along with the Affinity Publisher course created by Affinity revolution and they didn't state you had to doubleclick the first text box otherwise you only delete the box (with the text in it) not the text.
Sorry for hijacking this post for nothing. -
I'm having the same issue in Publisher. All frames are linked, I select one, go to the menu Select > Select all and it only selects the four frames on the two pages. Not the frames on the other pages. But when I look in the layers panell, everything is selected.
I am trying to find out how to delete everything in one go (still learning Publisher) -

Are you sure? I see her doing this (see screenshot):
"You can search within the Help on Windows, too. Just open the Help, and the Search bar is at the top:"
That is in the help file. That's not the same as she uses.

I am currently following the tutorial "Affinity Publisher for beginners" on Affinity Revolution and it shows a search field when you click help in the menu (see attached image). Has this been removed?

When I duplicate a symbol and give the original a name in the layers panel, that name is automatically given to the duplication. This makes it hard to keep track of the different symbol layers.

Same goes for my Huawei tablet. It's equal to the iPad Pro 11 inch. It can run anything without any issues. So Affinity Designer shouldn't be any issue at all.

I'd buy an Android version. Androids market share is also way way WAY bigger than Apple's. So from a business viewpoint creating the apps for Android would be a good thing.

I only just bought Affinity Photo and Designer and turned my back on Adobe and now I find this out. How can this not be standard! Ones workflow is constantly being interupted by doing all the settings over and over again!
I just noticed it with the crop tool. I need to crop a lot of photos to different dimensions constantly and keep redoing the settings everytime. I know I can create a preset. But seeing as the size changes so often that would mean dozens and dozens of presets.
Now I learn that this issue is with a lot of tools! My time is precious and this is not helping. I really don't want to go back to Adobe, but this is something I cannot do without because it just takes to much time to go through the settings for each adjustment.
Is this even in the roadmap for Affinity?
