  1. Hi @Gabe, Thanks for the reply. I was afraid as much. I’ll try submitting a bug report to Apple but I won’t get my hopes up. Thanks again. Kiwi
  2. Hi, I think this is an iOS bug rather than an Affinity Photo issue. I got out my old Sony DSC-F828 camera (from 2003) and decided to take some RAW photos with it and see what editing them on the iPAD would be like (for a little project I’m doing). However I discovered that they import on into iOS camera roll, they can’t be seen! And other raw editing apps can’t see/view/edit them either. The files aren’t corrupt as I can edit them ok on Affinity Photo on the Mac. Attached are some screenshots (resized) showing the issue: Pic 1 - Two photos imported into the Photos app on the iPad. A Raw file and the JPEG version. As you can see the jpeg thumbnail doesn’t show any image. Pic 2 & 3 - In the iOS Photos App I am using a plugin to show the photos metadata. As you can see, Pic 2 shows the thumbnail and photo info ok. But in Pic 3, it incorrectly reads the raw file as a TIFF file and only shows the file size. Pic 4 - I imported the photos into the iOS files app. As you can see it shows thumbnails for both the JPEG and Raw file ok. Pic 5 - I opened the Raw photo from within the Files app and as you can see it can’t load the image, but it does say it is a Sony Raw file. Pic 6 - With the same file opened I used a plugin to the RAW photo metadata. It correctly shows the raw file type (.srf - aka Sony Raw File) and lists the file size, but nothing else. Pic 7c - Shows Affinity Photo on iOS trying to load the Raw photo from the Photos App and gives the error pictured (basically thinks it is a Tiff file) Pic 9 - Shows Affinity Photo on iOS trying to load the Raw photo from the Files App and gives the error pictured (sees it is a Sony raw file but can’t open it) DSC00021 2.srf - is the actual Sony Raw file for others to try and see if they can get it working on iOS I find it strange as according to Apple’s website, the Sony F828 is supported on iOS 12 and 13 But according to Apple it does support the Sony Camera (links below). I’m sure it is even supported on previous iOS versions, but I don’t have access to anything before iOS 12: iOS 12 - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208967 iOS 13 - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210191 I’ve asked about the Sony Raw file in the Apple Forums but as it is such as old camera, no one has replied. Thanks for reading! DSC00021_2.SRF
  3. Just an update, version 1.8.4 still has the issue. No biggie as I haven’t used it much since I first discovered the issue. Guessing I’m probably the only one with the issue due to my usage of the 12.9” iPad in zoom mode (makes text and icons bigger which helps with aging eyes, by having less eye strain). I did come across another issue, but think it’s related to iOS and raw files than Affinity photo (no issues on a Mac) I’ll make a new post for that. Anyways still loving Affinity photo on the iPad and use it almost everyday!
  4. Affinity Photo 1.8.3 update was released. Was hoping it fixed the issue, but not as yet. Though coding for this issue would take a bit more effort to fix as it is a layout issue. Hopefully in one of the next few updates if I’m lucky
  5. Hi, I’m using iOS 12.4.1 on an iPad Pro 12.9” I think this feature is only available on the iPhone 6plus, 7plus, 8plus, and iPad Pro 12.9” (1st, 2nd and 3rd gens). If the option doesn’t show up here then I think it isn’t supported on that device.
  6. Thanks Chris B, I didn’t noticed the additional shapes. More shapes are always welcome. Hopefully we can scroll up and down or make another column for the extra shapes. Not sure if this is for me or DM1, I use the zoomed mode as default and only switch back to standard for the couple of games that haven’t been updated to support it (Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale) I tried the three finger tap to switch to the magnifying zoom option but it doesn’t really work for me as I need the whole screen zoomed and not just highlighted sections. In the meantime I can switch back to standard mode if I need the teardrop or the heart (very useful for creating SVG files to use in uMake 3D CAD app). Kiwi
  7. iPad 12.9” 3rd Generation Display mode: Zoomed (under iOS settings Display & Brightness/View/Zoomed) Affinity Photo ver 1.8.2.174 Choosing the rectangular tool option to select other shapes (Ellipse, Heart, Tear, etc), the tear option is cut off, and the heart option is off screen. I am not able to scroll down to select them. (Photo attached below). However this is not a problem when using the iPad in standard view mode (Photo attached below). I’ve always used my iPad in Zoomed mode and never had an issue with previous versions of Affinity Photo. Hopefully it’s user error on my end and if so please advise how to fix. If not I hope a fix will be out soon. Thank you.
