Jose Alvarez reacted to Zaxonov in I don't like the new UI design
I like the new icons because they are more vibrant and colorful. But they still are in the new flat design way that f* up the entire UI and I understand your point of view.
v1 made me think I was using a robust app :
While v2 make me feel I'm using a badly designed app with no Human Interface in mind. I don't know, that's the flat design that gives me the creeps...

I like the new Icons when setting them to be monochromatic.
Also, some people hated the previous icons.
Best regards!

Jose Alvarez reacted to Zaxonov in I don't like the new UI design
Hi. I was excited by v2.0 but I really don't like the new UI design. The flat design feels like a multiplatform wobbly app that the Adobe suite had become...
I felt like the v1.0 UI design felt more robust.
What do you think?

No workarround can replace the flexibility of ID's facing pages spreads.

Jose Alvarez got a reaction from loukash in Using the clear interface when recording tutorials
Hi!
I would like to suggest to the Affinity team to use the UI style light in the tutorials, as not on all the screens where I have seen them (iphone, ipad and desktop monitors) it is seen with the ideal clarity.
Thanks!

Jose Alvarez got a reaction from Pyanepsion in Section Manager can't be resizable?
Hi!
It is very annoying not to be able to resize that window and work with more than a handful of sections. I can't find any reason to make this window with fixed size. Is it possible to make this window resizable?
Thank you!
Windows 10 + Affinity V2 Universal License

Jose Alvarez reacted to MarekGFX in No rewards for being an existing user...
Well, you can get a 40% discount right now, right? It is fair price for an upgrade. The only thing is that the discount is not privileged only to existing users but it is for everybody (including newcomers). I actually do not care if I am the only who gets the discount or everybody gets it Or am I missing something?

Jose Alvarez reacted to Seneca in Section Manager can't be resizable?
While we can resize the Section Manager on the Mac, I wish we could resize the left and right side of the panel independently. As it is the right hand side is not resizeable at all and we can only see a fraction of the section name we type in the Section name text field. I think this really needs to be improved.

There's a crystal clear fact with this Affinity V2: IT'S A BARGAIN.
But that some features are very demanded by users and aren't implemented yet, is true, too.

Jose Alvarez got a reaction from Przemja in 3 page spread
First thing I did when I installed Publisher 2 this morning was try to create 'more than 2 pages' spreads, with all kind of key combinations or page/spread menus. Result? Deception... I'm sorry to say, but I'm dissapointed for that. And I have purchased the Universal license...

COPY / PASTE from Scripting Forum, TonyB (Moderator):
Affinity will support Javascript and also have a 'C' based API binding interface that people can use to write plugins. We will also have the ability to create UI to support their scripts and plugins with dialogs and panels.
We have a team developing this but the amount of work is very large so unfortunately users will need to be patient.
Crystal clear, mates.

Jose Alvarez got a reaction from U. Dinser in 3 page spread
Every time I see there's a new version of Publisher, I install it and I run to see if "spreads of more than 2 pages" is between the new features.
And, every time, I end up disappointed.
I swear, I can`t understand why this feature isn't implemented yet, when Serif PagePlus X9, the grandfather of this Publisher, have got it...

Nope! In InDesign you can export the doc as spread or as individual pages. You don't need to create multi and single page versions of the same doc.
We all know that there's another way to do it without spreads of more than 2 pages. But like we have say, it's a practice very prone to errors, and more difficult to make changes in the width of pages. I see it almost every day at work, working on client's book covers designed in Illustrator, for example.
So yes, i'm sorry to say, but this feature is a MUST in every pro publising software, and Publisher haven't. Yet.
