Hi It looks as though the file size can be reduced by opening the file in Publisher navigating to the Photo persona and then hitting the Q key to toggle the quick mask on and then off again. Once his has been done saving the file should reduce the file size by 99% from 200MB to 2MB. Unfortunately we aren't really sure how the file might have gotten into this state. @ygoe can you remember the last edits you might have made to the file to cause this at all?

Hi Tomdot, Have you tried any of the other options found on the display dropdown in the apps performance preferences just to see if they help with this at all? Its also likely worth trying with Metal Compute toggled on and off as this could also improve performance. Thanks C

Hi rcsilber, This looks like a redraw issue but its odd that it doesn't seem to affect the beta at all, I wouldn't expect there to be any conflicts between the beta and the release build either. Please could you provide a screenshot of your apps performance preferences so I can look into this further you? It also seems strange that this issue doesn't occur when creating a screen recording. Do you use any screen filters such as F.lux etc that might be interfering with the app?

I'm sorry the fix for this is taking longer than expected I can see from our internal bug report that this is something we are still actively looking into it should hopefully be fixed soon.

I believe the above issue is covered by the bug report hangman has mentioned this should be fixed in a future update.

Hi Jdjames, There is no way to stop this behaviour at this point in time I'm afraid. This is something that has been brought up in the past however and may be considered for a future update. Thanks C

Hi MoiraH Affinity Publisher doesn't support PagePlus .ppp files. You have to export your documents in PagePlus to PDF and then import them in Publisher. Thanks C

I will log an improvement for this however if I'm being honest I feel as though this behaviour is unlikely to change as its consistent with the behaviour of locking objects throughout the app. Its also very difficult to accidentally delete a guide due to you needing to be within the guide manager.
