I have moved this thread from the bugs section to the feedback section as this feature is working entirely as intended and there are no bugs to be logged in this thread. As for why this change was made unfortunately I don't have this sort of info, the moderators here on the forum have no control over what does or doesn't make it into the app. Perhaps a developer will see this thread and can provide more insight. As for the help file being incorrect this is something that has already been raised with the documentation team. Thanks C

Hi Hvellyr, Welcome to the forums I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing issues with the apps crashing. While I am looking into your crash report please could you provide a screenshot of the apps performance preferences? Just to confirm are you using a magic trackpad to perform the two finger gestures? If so does unplugging the trackpad stop the crashing at all? Thanks C

Hi Tooma, Please could you try using the following tool to uninstall any existing copies of Affinity Photo V1 that you might have? https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d This should then allow you to install V1 correctly.

Hi All, I have spoken to our QA team regarding this and they have told me that this is by design currently. When you feather a selection it will make a semi transparent selection and when stacking semi transparent layers on top of one another you will never get the sum of the two transparencies, so you're left with this halo effect. Thanks C

Hi Conor, I'm sorry to hear your file appears to be corrupt I have logged it with our developers to see if anything can be done to fix the file however this can take some time so if the file is time sensitive I would recommend starting again. Please could you tell me the last edits you made to the file and if the file was stored locally or on a network drive etc? Thanks C

Hi Reefsar, If you navigate to the apps preferences and under keyboard shortcuts remove the shortcut for save as and then re set it to Ctrl+Shift+S does this issue still occur? Thanks C

Hi Markimark, This looks like it could be caused by feathering etc which settings are you using within the refine selection window? Thanks C

Hi Jweitzel, Some settings such as paintbrush hardness etc you should find are already synched between documents unfortunately there is no way to synch any of the settings that aren't synched automatically at this point in time. Id recommend making a post about this in the feature requests and feedback section of the forums

Hi Jinkah, Welcome to the forums Please could you tell me if this happens with all files or just this one? If it only happens with this one file please could you provide a copy of it and tell me the last edits you remember making to the file please could you also tell me if this happens when using File edit in from any of the Affinity apps or is it just from Photo to the other Affinity apps? If you manually launch Designer and then try and do File > Edit in Designer does this issue still occur? If it does please could you try opening the app with the ctrl key held down and when the reset menu appears hit select all and then reset to see if this solves your issue? C
