Hi Jmac, If you wish to remove an effect from an object you should select it and then go to the effects tab on the left hand side of the app. In this tab you will have all of your Effects listed with check marks next to the ones that are applied to your object. Un-checking these boxes will remove the effect from the selected object. You may also double click the FX symbol next to your Layers to take you to the Effects window for that layer. Here you will also see checkboxes to the left of the Effects that you can toggle to remove or apply the Effect. C

Hi LilleG, I am unable to replicate this issue in a new document and any existing ones. Does this issue occur if you start a new document? C

It can be a real pain not knowing what's locked, but if you hold shift and the select the top and bottom layer this will ensure that all of the layers are selected. You should then be able to resize all of your objects at once whether they are locked or not. C

Hi Glauco, At this moment in time it is not something that is possible within the app. However it has been suggested before and is on our common feature requests list under the general functionality heading. C

Hi johnk, Welcome to the forums. It is possible to crop to 8.5 x 5.5 but its not possible at the moment to resize this without changing the dimensions of the crop. I know that other users have asked for this along with specifying DPI. C

Hi TDmah, I tried the instructions that you have given above but unfortunately I am unable to replicate the issue. Please could you try resetting the app by holding down the Ctrl key while you open the program to bring up the reset menu then choosing select all and clear. Once you have done this please see if you can replicate your issue. C

Hi Jackamus, If you expand each layer from the layers tab then you can see which individual objects are locked on that layer. However if you select one entire layer or all layers then you are able to resize all of the objects in one go regardless of weather they are locked or not. C

At the moment we don't have support for .BMP files as they are a Windows format.

Hi Michaelmar777, If you go to File > Export > and then choose any of the listed formats. This will save your photo in a format that will be viewable on any Windows PC. C

Hi Henry, If you want to use anything that you have created in AD or AP with other apps you will need to export it. To do this please go to File > Export > Choose a file type suitable for you > Select the location you wish to save it. From here you should then be able to import it into your animation apps from where you saved it. C

Hi Pomme, The .afpalette files are only compatible with the Affinity range. They would be useful if you want to send someone a specific palette you used on a design or if you are changing computers and wish to carry over your custom palette. You are able to export a palette from Designer into Photo to use across both platforms. C

Hi Vdamjanovski, Thank you for reporting this too us however I dont think that this is a bug. If you had gone too View>Studio>Reset Studio it should have brought back everything that you may have accidentally removed from the interface of the program. You can also hold down the CTRL key while opening up the program and you will get a menu asking if you would like to reset the program back to defaults. Doing this would have brought back any missing interface items. C

Hi General, Welcome to the forums! I have checked our list of compatible Raw formats and Nikon D800 RAW files definitely work in our program. While in Apple photo if you select your RAW file and go to File>Export>Export Unmodified Original and save the file to your desktop , you should then be able to open the exported RAW file in Affinity Designer. C

Hi Imegson, Please can you try removing the old beta version of the program from your Mac to see if that resolves the issue? If that does not work please could you try right clicking the file and choosing the open with option. From there please could you select the latest version of Affinity this should make it the default version. C

Hi James, We currently have a video that gives a brief tour of the software and explains the various tool bars etc. You also have the in program help available which can be accessed by going to Help > Affinity Designer Help. Inside this help panel there are guides available for all of the assorted tools and sections of the workspace available in the program. C

Hi James, At this moment in time that is the fastest way to quit the program when you have multiple photos open and one is in the Develop persona. C
