    Hi Shuttrbugin, Welcome to the forums! While in the program if you go to the brushes tab at the top righthand side, you will see a few horizontal lines with an arrow head pointing downwards next to the word brushes. If you click these lines a drop down menu will appear. At the bottom of the drop down menu you will see New image brush select this option, it will ask you for a picture that you would like to turn into a brush. Once you have selected your image a new custom brush created from your image will appear in your brushes tab. You can also look at this video for how to do this in Affinity Designer it is more or less the same. C

    Hi Jmca62, You should be able to open the .AI files as you would any other. You can right click the .AI file and go to open with then select Affinity Photo or Designer. C

    Hi Dahn, Welcome to the forums! You can use Affinity to resize or change the DPI of your image. We also have the Export Persona which is aimed at exporting images to the web. C

    Hi Laurie, Welcome to the forum! On the left hand tool bar in Affinity Photo you will see the healing brush tool. Hold left click on this to switch tools inside the list of tools that appears you will see the Inpainting tool. Please note that the Inpainting tool is only available in Affinity Photo and not Designer. C

    Hi Andy, I have just tried exporting at 100dpi after resizing my document and it has worked fine. Please could you try opening the file in preview and then going to tools and inspector to find the DPI? C

    Hi Daisy, Am I right in thinking your issue is that your files once edited in Affinity are very small? If so then could you please advise as to whether you are going to File > save as or File > Export when you are done making your changes? C

    Hi Wayne, Welcome to the forums, Affinity Photo will allow you to develop your RAW files and make any necessary changes to them. However I would recommend waiting a couple of weeks as we will be releasing a trial version of the app shortly that you will be able to try and experiment with. C

    Hi Vince, Welcome to the forums. I would suggest looking at a few of our tutorials for a brief run down of the different tools. The tutorial found here shows you how to add something to a picture and blend it so it looks professional, I hope this helps. C

    Hi InfiniteAffinity, At the moment there isn't a Mesh Warp tool in Affinity Designer however it is something that is on our roadmap. There is a Mesh Warp tool in Affinity Photo that you should be able to use. In regards to your brush issue can you please add your .png file that you are using to create your brush. This will allow me to try and replicate the issue. C

    Hi Paul009, I have been unable to replicate this issue. Please could you download the latest Customer Beta Build to see if you still get the same issue? Could you also please advise if this happens in all documents or just one? C

    Hi Aliaxandra, Do you have the current Customer Beta Build installed? As the Mac app store version of the program has issues opening files with El Capitan.     Hi Soren, If you hold the Ctrl Key while opening the app it will bring up a reset menu. Please could you click Select all and then hit the clear button this will reset your program back to defaults. Please let me know if this works. C

    Hi p_mac, This is a bug with the current version of Affinity photo. It is logged with our developers and as you have seen has been fixed in the latest version of the Beta. You may find the original bug report here. C

    Hi Smlombardi, This is not possible with our App. The Slice tool is so that you can take a slice of your design or photo and export just the slice rather than the full project. C

    Hi YoBa, Welcome to the forums. Using a live camera feed within the program is unfortunately not possible. Rather than using a camera feed could you not take a picture or screenshot of the feed and import that into Affinity Designer? C

    Hi Mattbwm, There is nothing in the program that can be used too add a cursor other than adding a picture as you have mentioned. However on the Road Map under usability it mentions media browser for shapes and objects. This could allow you to add a picture of a cursor into the program and store it for later use. C

    Hi Eric, Welcome to the forums! You can change the size of your brush by pressing the [ ] keys on your keyboard. C

    Hi Tomtriano, At the moment you are unable to use the shortcut for your keyboard. However in the meantime an alternate shortcut that will work for you is to hold down the CTRL + ALT/Option keys and then move the mouse left or right to adjust the size of the brush. C

    Hi Timber, The Export Persona is mostly used for exporting to the web or for exporting sections of your document. If you wanted to export your entire document then you would go to File > Export, rather than using the Export Persona. The Export Persona is normally used when the size of the document matters as Meta Data and Colour Profiles are stripped on export.     Hi JoeFine, Welcome to the forums. The reason this happens is because Illustrator has broken the text in your .EPS file into different objects. When you view an .EPS in Illustrator it will read the embedded .AI document if available instead of the .EPS section. Affinity Designer does not have the ability to read the embedded .AI document within the .EPS file. I can only suggest that you export from Illustrator as a .PDF or an .SVG to retain the text. C
