  3. Hi Frosty, Welcome to the forums :) To get this to work correctly you would need to setup Affinity as an external editor in Aperture. To do this please follow the instructions in this guide. Once this has been done you will be able to choose your photo go to edit with external program and then choose Affinity. In Affinity any changes you make will also update the copy you have in Aperture. C
  4. Hi Profiler, As I said in my previous post you do not save into Aperture. You would overwrite your original image which would then in turn update the one you have in Aperture. Is your image stored in an Aperture library or is it stored in another location? C
  5. Hi Profiler, We don't other telephone support as all support is done through the Forum. I have responded to your question regarding Aperture. C
  6. Hi Profiler, With Aperture you don't save directly into the program. Aperture references the image on your MAC so saving any edits you have made from Affinity should update the image being referenced in Aperture. We don't offer telephone support as all support is done through the Forum. C
  7. Hi Military Raiden, Welcome to the forums :) We are not currently aware of any issues like this, there are some compatibility issues with El Capitan. Which version of OS X are you running?

  17. Hi David, Welcome to the forums! Affinity Photo definitely let you add text to photos. In terms of vector tools we have the pen, node and quick shape tools available in Affinity Photo. We will be releasing a trial version of Affinity Photo very soon so if you are still unsure of which program to get you could always wait for the trial. Hope this helps :) C

  20. Hi Mattbwm, This isn't currently a feature within the program. However it has been requested in the past so it may be added in the future. C
  21. Hi Fioled, Welcome to the forums. At the moment there is no bleed tool in Affinity Photo however it is on our roadmap. You could add a manual bleed by making your document a little bigger than it is supposed to be. In terms of the format it depends on how the printer wants the document to be setup. Sometimes the front and the back are split into separate PDFS. C
  22. Hi Stoshphoto, Welcome to the forums. When trying to lower the size of a file there are a few things you will need to keep in mind. The overall resolution of the image will effect the size of the image if your image is very large I would recommend resizing it to a smaller resolution. There is also the Resampling options, the size of your photo will depend on which of these you choose. I have found that using Bicubic achieves the best results for reducing size. Finally you also have the quality presets in the program changing these will lower the quality of your JPGs but it will lower the size by substantial amount. Hope this helped. C
  23. Hi John, Welcome to the forums! Once you have opened your document in Affinity Photo you will need to unlock the layer. On the right hand side of the app there is a layers tab you will see a background layer with a picture of a padlock next to it. Clicking the padlock should make it disappear which will unlock the layer. Once the layer has been unlocked you can use the select tool to select the object on the page you would like to move. Once you the the object selected you will need to switch back to the Move tool to move the object around. You can do this by clicking the black arrowhead from the lefthand tool bar or by pressing V on your keyboard. Hope this helps. C
  24. Hi FrancescaD Welcome to the forums! There is currently a bug in the software that is causing TIFF files to export blank instead of keeping transparency. This has been passed onto our developers to look into. C
