  1. Hi Zhouyixiao1992, Welcome to the forums :) There are currently some compatibility issues with the App Store version of Affinity and the ElCapitan Beta. This issue is solved in our latest Customer Beta Build please could you try downloading that to see if it solves your issue? I hope this helps :) C
  2. Hi LilleG, You should be able to achieve that using one of the textured brushes and modifying the pressure curve to make it thicker at the start and shallower at the end. C
  3. Hi LilleG, A Pressure sensitive tablet will allow you to create Brush strokes that vary in size and taper. I have attached a few examples of some lines I have drawn with different Pressure applied to each. They are a little wobbly I'm not great with a tablet sorry! You can also simulate Pressure without having a pressure tablet. To do this you need to set the Controller of your Brush to Pressure. Then in the stroke tab there is a box with the word Pressure next to it clicking inside this box will allow you to simulate your own Pressure by altering the curvature of the graph . I hope this helps :) C
  4. Hi jROm, The Inpainting tool is just in-between the Pen and Smudge tool on your screen shot. I have circled it just incase you still can't find it. Hope this helps :) C
  5. Hi Elf, With one of the shapes selected there should be a box that says Stroke at the top left hand side of the App. Here you can set the colour of your Stroke. Alternatively the 2nd Colour circle in the Colours tab will also control the colour of the Stroke. I have included a screenshot that should help with this :) C
  6. Hi Marsofearth, There is currently no way to do this within the App. However a Knife tool is something that is on our Road Map which means it will be added in the future. Hope this helps :) C
  7. Hi Elf, I have been able to create a very similar layout using transparent rectangle Quick Shapes and adjusting the Stroke Size on them. Then changing the Stroke colour to black. I have attached the document I was able to create so that you can see how I have done it. Hope this helps :) C Test for elf.afphoto
  8. If you un-tick the Items I participated in and Just items I follow sections then it should show you all of the new content :) C
  9. Hi Josh_Charles, Welcome to the Forums :) It looks as though you can achieve a similar effect to the Instagram Structure tool by using our Unsharp Mask tool. You can find this tool by going to Filters > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask. Hope this helps. C
  10. Hi Kodaboy, Welcome to the forums :) At the top of the basic menu there is a Preset drop down. You could make any changes that you wanted to save for later and then select Add Preset from the Preset drop down to save all of your current settings. Once you have done that you can select Default from the preset drop down to reset your image so you may continue working. Then when you are ready to re add your adjustments you can go back into the Develop Persona and re apply the Preset. C
  11. Hi Uncle808us, When you click View New Content there is a list on the left hand side please could you take a screenshot of that and send it to me? C
  12. Hi lynnsdo, Welcome to the forums :) We don't currently have plans to release a printed User Guide however we will be creating an Online User Guide in the future. To open a photo from Photos in Affinity you will need to export it from Photos. To help you do this I have found this guide. Once that has been done you need to open Affinity Photo and go to File > Open you then need to navigate to the photo you have just exported from Photos and double click it to bring it into Affinity. If you have any more questions or need clarification after watching a tutorial feel free to post on here :) C
  13. Hi Depa, Your correct the Silver Efex from the Nikcollection will only work as a plugin for Affinity. However Perfect Photo suite definitely doesn't work as a plugin for Affinity. C
  14. Hi Thiasdnu, Welcome to the forums :) If you go to File > Export > PNG there will be a preset for with transparency. This will stop any transparent parts of your photo coming out as white. C
  15. Hi Zorki, Welcome to the forums :), At the moment there is no feature within Affinity that can be used to transfer work into Perfect Photo or Silver Efex. You would have to export or save your photo in Affinity and then reopen it in Perfect Photo or Silver Efex. It isn't a feature that is on our Roadmap but that doesn't mean it won't be considered in the future. C
  16. Hi Mrak, Unfortunately because all of our sales are done through Apple there is not much we can do. Sorry! C
  17. Hi Mrak, Welcome to the forums :) While it is not possible to purchase the app from us directly, it is possible to purchase business licences through Apple's Volume Licensing Program. C
  18. Personally I like B more it seems to fit with the style better :) C
  19. Because the Customer Beta is more recent so it will have newer fixes and features that are yet to be rolled out to the App Store version. C
  20. Hi MilitaryRaiden, Before uninstalling or reinstalling the program please could you try resetting it. To reset the program hold down the CTRL key then open the program, a reset window will appear please click Select all and then click Clear. If this does not work I would advise trying a reinstall. You could also try the Customer Beta Build to see if you get the same issue. C
  21. Hi Mok, Welcome to the forums :) It is not possible to do this in Affinity at the moment however a lot of people have requested this feature, so it may be added in the future. C
  22. Hi Stteve, Welcome to the forums :) The current version of Affinity has compatibility issues with ElCapitan. However the latest Customer Beta Build fixes this please could you download that. C
