Hi Gernot, Welcome to the forums :) The ability to export PSD files with fonts isn't something that is on the roadmap but it is a feature our developers are looking to improve. I have tested your issue with opening a .PSD file in GIMP and it does appear to be a bug. I have logged this with our development team to see if they can resolve the issue. Hi Marflow, Welcome to the Forums :) You need to drag the mask layer from being a child onto its own layer above the image. Then you are able to move the image around to change what section of it is masked. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Cindydelps, In Affinity Photo you can select the layer you want to use as the background then use the Fill Tool to fill the layer with the colour you want to use for your background. In Affinity Designer you can add a background layer by switching to Pixel Persona adding a Pixel layer and using the Flood Fill tool to add the colour you want. I hope this helps :) C

Hi VUYE Daniel, Welcome to the Forums :) Could you please start a new document and see if you get the same issue? If you don't get the same issue please could you attach the file that is having the issue so I may investigate this further? If you get this issue with all documents please could you try resetting the program. To do this you need to hold down the CTRL key while opening the program then in the reset window that appears click Select All and then hit Clear. C

Hi Tiltowait, There currently is no align to selection feature within Affinity Photo. However you could make a post in the Feature Requests section of the Forum to see if it is something that our developers would consider adding. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Jackamus, The Document > Colour Format > 16bit greyscale is for the entire document and not just one layer. To make one layer Black and White you want to use the Black and white Adjustment from the Adjustments tab just next to the Layers tab. To use Detect edges properly you need to create a duplicate of your image use Detect Edges and then set the Blend Mode of the layer to Subtract. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Leichtwiesahne, At the moment there is no Beta for Affinity Publisher. However once there is we will announce it on the Forums it should be available sometime next year. Once available you will be able to join the Beta testing. C

Hi JoeFine, Please could you go into your Applications folder to see which versions of Affinity you have. If you still have the trial version installed along with the full version could you please move the trial to your Trash. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Dreamlight, Welcome to the forums :) I will answer your questions in the order they were asked. 1. When you make Adjustments in the Develop Persona and apply these changes it's not possible to change these Adjustments again. However our Developers are hoping to add Non destructive Develop Layer which should solve this issue. For more information please see our RoadMap. 2. This icon has been removed and replaced with Add Preset. I have logged this with our Development team and the in App help will be updated. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. 3. This isn't possible at the moment. However this may come in the future. 4/5. When you add a Preset you are saving any Adjustments made so that they may be used again on another file. These added/ saved presets are saved in the App so when you open and close the App they should reappear. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Frosty, The developers are currently working on this so hopefully it will be resolved soon! You could try going to File > Export and then choosing TIFF this may allow you to export a working TIFF file that you can import into Aperture. C

Hi Electriczipper Have you read through Affinity Photo's built-in help? There's a section called Workspace that will walk you through the main tools, panels and UI. This should get you up to speed :)We also have a Beginners Guide video that takes you through the basics of the App that can be found here. Hi Marker, I'm struggling to recreate this issue at my end. Could you please try resetting the App to see if it resolves your issue? To do this open the App while holding down the CTRL key this will bring up a reset menu please click Select All and then Clear. Please note that this will reset any customisations you have made to the program. C

Because we release updates containing new features and fixes to the Beta every couple of weeks we wanted to ensure that only customers are the ones getting the latest features and fixes and not just people that are using the software for free. The Beta Builds only expire after we release a newer Beta build. Without this restriction people would be able to use the Beta without actually purchasing the App. C

The next Mac App Store update for both Affinity products will include support for El Capitan. We don't have a date at the moment but it should be very soon. If you do purchase the app today you will be able to download the Customer Beta Build which as stated above will work fine. If you are not happy with the product you would be able to contact Apple for a full refund. C

Hi Evrika33, Welcome to the forums :) If you go to View > Studio > Reset Studio it should reset the layout back to defaults which will bring back all of the windows you are missing. I hope this helps :) C

Hi Caseygrove, Welcome to the forums :) The Assistant within Affinity Photo will automatically make some adjustments in the Develop Persona. To turn off the Assistant you will need to click the icon that looks like a butler towards the top right of the App (See attached). Once you have turned the Assistant off you will need to reopen any RAW files you already had open in the Develop Persona. I hope this helps :) C
