The red 'X' you see on the cloud icon means it is downloading the X is a cancel button. After some time (depending on your network connection) this should disappear and you can open the sample file.
By clicking on the thumbnail :)

There isn't a way to convert the curves into ellipses I'm afraid. However that doesn't mean it wont be added in the future :) Would you be able to provide the .AI file in question? As the dots shouldn't be being converted to curves unless they are full stops.

We know for certain that the Nik collection and the Topaz plugins work for Affinity however we haven't tested Portrait Professional Studio I'm afraid. Below is a guide on how to get plugins to work with Affinity you may find that it works :)

Hi Jlaval,

 

The tools used in the tutorial may be ones found within the fly-out menu of other tools. You can access the flyout menu of a tool by clicking the little arrow head towards the bottom right of a tools icon (see attached).

Batch processing isn't currently possible in Affinity Photo however it is something we are looking to add in the future. You could in the meantime create a 3D-Lut with all of the Adjustments you would like to use and then apply that to your photos. You can see a short video explaining how to create a 3D-Lut here.

 

Affinity Photo does have a Stacking feature found by going to File > New Stack you can see a tutorial showcasing how to use it here

Towards the bottom right of the app you should see a Transform panel, if it isn't shown please could you go to View > Studio > Transform and make sure that it is checked :)

If you go to Help > Welcome... at the top right of the app the intro screen will appear. At the bottom right of this screen is a tick box allowing you to toggle weather or not it shows on start up :)

No the setting will notify the user if they are warned by an admin for a post that has been deemed offensive. However if someone were to post something that clearly wasn't a one off comment and was deliberately offensive then they will have their account removed.
