[A Bug with PSD import for only all Beta versions]

I have tried testing your issue with the file you have attached and I'm unable to replicate this issue in either beta or app store versions of the app. What is the version number of the Beta you are using you can find out by going to Affinity Designer / Photo > About?

[How Do I Set A Fill Colour For Artistic Text?]

Hi Ex-PhotoCS,

 

Until we add sticky settings for tools this wont be possible I'm afraid. However you could create some text that has the colour that you need to use and then Right click it and go to Create Style. Now you will have a new entry in the styles tab that has a similar colour to the text  you just made. If you type some black text select it and then click your newly made style it will apply the correct colour for you :)

[Is there a user manual]

If you go to Help > Affinity Photo Help towards the top of the program you will get a help window appear. In here you can search for individual tools and it will give you a brief explanation of what they do and how to use them. We are making a user manual but it isn't ready just yet!

Hi Kanihoncho,

 

Are you wanting to use brush strokes for your logo or solid lines? For solid lines I would recommend using the Pen Tool [P] if you aren't sure how to use it I will include a tutorial below :)

Hi Alexal,

 

Your images should be dragging and dropping to the position roughly around where your mouse was. Please could you try 

dragging a picture from your desktop into the app window to see if it places that near your mouse.

[Weird corner behaviour on .PDF .EPS export]

Hi Marco,

 

This issue is happening because the top right node on both L shapes is actually 2 nodes on top of each other if you switch to the node tool [A] and then click the top right node and press the delete key it will delete the node which should solve this issue :) Please note you will need to do this for both letters!

Please could you try holding down the CTRL key while opening the program a reset menu should appear. If you click Select All and then Clear the program will reset to defaults which should hopefully resolve your issue :)

[Black pixels]

Hi Klaesser1,

 

Please could you try the below instructions they should resolve your issue.

 

 

1. Open up the image you attached and then go to the Layers tab right click it and click Rasterise. 

 

2. Then go to Select > Select Sampled Colour and click on the black pixels to select them then click the Apply button in the popup window to apply your selection.

 

3. With the black pixels selected go to the Adjustment tab and click HSL adjust. Experimenting with the bottom two sliders in the pop up window that appears after selecting this adjustment should resolve your issue.

[Global scale with object command]

Hi Reminous,

 

In the Stroke tab towards the top right of the app you should see a Scale With Object tickbox, ticking this while you have your strokes highlighted will make them scale if you resize them.

 

EDIT: You could also go to Document Setup and in the Dimensions tab set Objects will to Rescale. This will cause your objects to scale to the page size. (See attached)

I agree, I want to find out why Affinity Photo is about $15,83 more expensive on the South African store than on the US site. Are we in some way richer than the US store. $15,83 is about the price of a new york bestseller book. So I want to find out why, we have to pay so much more. It was not like this, this jump happened after I bought Affinity designer, for the price that was equal to the US price????

[Where the.afphoto images were saved?]

Hi Charty,

 

Click on the cloud icon on the bottom right of the samples (a red cross appears - to cancel the download if needed - the download has started). You can follow its progress trough the white outline around the image. This may take a while since some images are big once the download is complete you can click the thumbnail of the sample to open it within the app :)

I did read they would discontinue the photoplus  drawplus and pageplus  in article from the ceo ,but which is why i had to get it clarified .which what u are saying makes no sense

 

Development isn't going to continue but the Plus range programs will still be working and usable. As stated above these will be two completely separate ranges of programs, Affinity is not specifically designed to replace the Plus range.

Towards the top left hand side of the app when you are using the Crop Tool you should see a Mode drop down. If you set this to Absolute Dimensions it should resolve your issue :)

Affinity Photo,Designer and Publisher aren't built as replacements to the X range, they are their own programs. However, they will be most similar to PhotoPlus, DrawPlus and PagePlus but it is worth noting that you wont be able to use X range file types (for example .DPP) with the Affinity range.

[Subdividing shapes with gutters]

Its not possible to separate a shape and leave a guttering between the separations I'm afraid. However you could use quick shapes to lay out your document like a comic and then save that so you always have a template. I have included an example below :)

The official Apple supported RAW list has the Pentax K100D Super so it should work fine however the K-50 unfortunately isn't on the list so you may have some difficulties with it. Please could you try opening the files in Apple Photos to see if they open correctly?

Si je comprends bien votre question, vous devez aller dans Fichier> Imprimer pour afficher le menu d'impression, puis dans la liste déroulante ci-dessous la section d'orientation sélectionnez Couleur mathching. Une fois les thats été sélectionné, vous verrez les options ci-dessous il changer ces options modifiées vous permettra de définir des profils de couleur en cochant ColourSync et en changeant le profil déroulant :)
