Hi TinPianoMan, Lanczos is one of the slower options as it uses complex algorithmic resampling which will give better results, but will increase the processing time. Bilinear adds some interpolation between pixels to produce a smoothing, anti-aliasing effect but this is generally better for enlarging. Lanczos will give you the best looking results but will also take longer to process. It's really up to you in the end, if you are happy with how the .PNG looks while using bilinear then you shouldn't be any problems using that :) C

NIK Software
Callum replied to higueron's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

Hi Chiirioz, Welcome to the Forums :) If you use adobe Acrobat Pro you could edit the PDF's once you have made them but you may find some elements become rasterised. Unfortunately copy and pasting into PowerPoint will rasterise a lot of the elements from your document, If multiple people need to make changes to your file then you may be better off creating the file in an app everyone has access too. I hope this helps. C

Export EPS file
Callum replied to dbaz's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Dbaz, Welcome to the Forums :) Would it be possible for you to attach your project file to this post so that I can tell you exactly why the background isn't transparent? Any files you send to me will be deleted after I have looked at them :) C -

Hi Colin, There's no way to send RAW images directly from Apple Photos to Affinity Photo since Apple Photos doesn't include an Edit in external editor functionality like Aperture or iPhotos. You have to do it manually. To export a RAW file from Apple Photos go to menu File ▸ Export ▸ Export Unmodified Original.... Then open it in Affinity Photo, edit the image and save in your preferred format. To import it back to Apple Photos go to menu File ▸ Import... and select the file or drag it from the Finder to Apple Photos. There's an extension for Apple Photos called "External Editors" that allows to send an image directly from Apple Photos as a RAW to several apps/plug-ins but the edited version it's saved back as a JPG. I hope this helps :) C

Hi SheepFrog77, The version of Affinity you have given is higher than the currently available version and you have mentioned Internet Explorer at the moment Affinity Designer and Photo are only available on Mac. Are you sure this is the correct Forum :)? C

Language mix
Callum replied to fcarels's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Fcarels, Welcome to the Forums :) is your OS language set to French? The help in our app uses the operating system language and not the one that the app is set too, unfortunately the only way for you to get the help to show in English would be to change the OS language to English. C -
Save Presets?
Callum replied to DanThePhotoMan's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi DanThePhotoMan, Welcome to the Forums :) Once you have created the shapes you would like to turn into presets all you need to do is right click one and go to Create Style. This will add a new entry in the Styles tab which can be found next to the Layers tab towards the righthand side of the app. Creating a new shape selecting it and then clicking the new style you have created will apply that style to the shape this includes colour, blend modes and effects :) C -
Hi Uemit, Welcome to the Forums :) I have tested this on an older version of Affinity Photo and it looks as though Photo can't pick up any matching features between the two photos because of the shadow on the lefthand side of the second image. The Panorama tool looks at similar features between the two photos and stitches at these points I would usually recommend that you make sure the photos overlap to ensure that it will find similar features. If you would like to test your Panaroama tool to ensure it definitely is still working I have attached some sample images you can use :) C

Nikon Nef
Callum replied to higueron's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Higueron, Welcome to the Forums :) Affinity Photo does support .NEF files, If you would like to try one of your .NEF files in our RAW engine before purchasing the app just to be sure I would recommend downloading the 10-day trial from here. Hope this helps! C -

brush order
Callum replied to p_mac's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi P_mac, You can drag and drop the brushes in the Brush Tab to re arrange them. If you would like to change the category that the brush is in you can do so by right clicking it and going to Move Brush to Catergory. Hope this helps :) C
