  1. Hi everyone, thank god I found that thread here. Having the exactly same issue. I have these lag issues whenever crossing menu to photo area. For some reason the selecting cursor don't show that issue, but if I select the artboard tool it does. - change render mode to warp -> fixes the issue somehow, with slower performance overall - set gsync completely to off -> fixes the issue,.. but absolutly not a solution - set gsync only for the affinity applications -> giving me strange blackouts of the whole screen. - set the framerate stuff to highest -> doesn't change anything for me because by default thats what gforce set it globaly Okay just tested @jcricejones solution and what the heck, that worked. That is kind of a solution for now,. but @Dan C it shouldn't be necessary to fix the framerate and with that button disable gsync at all for affinity applications. Okay now the last part didn't worked on the first try then I did something differen't. Here what I did: GSYNC on (fullscreen only, Open CL on, 3080 renderer, affinity set to Fixed refresh rate in Nvidia settings - no lag, but full blackout flickering I resetted all changes in the affinity specific window of nvidia panel, then I setted Fixed refresh rate in Nvidia settings , with that change this also changed: prefered refresh rate -> application controled vertical synchronisation -> use setting of 3D application Now I restarted affinty application and now I have blackout issues on every click and from second to second. Back inside of Nvidia settings I did this: I resetted the automatic changed 2 mentioned settings back to use global setting Now -> prefered refresh rate still shows fixed after I clicked the save settings button -> prefered refresh rate flipped back to use global settings automatically which is GSYNC enabled then I closed everything restarted affinity and all issues are gone and Nvidia settings panel shows now everything like it was on default before. Really really really strange behaviour. I changed it this way for each affinity application and now no lags, no blackout flickering, everything running smooth as it should. Please Affinity Team, have a look into these issues,. even so this fix works somehow it's an absolutly workaround. Hope this helps others too if the normal way didn't. 2. it's attached to the first post, the " part.tga" file -> Part.tga: thank you for your time and help.
  3. Hello Affinity Forum, I love you software and bought it. From time to time I frequently run into problems with Affinity Photo or Designer. This time I have an issue with affinity photo: So I wanted to import a .tga file, unfortunately it doesn't show up correctly as it seems. Here I created an image to show my problem with this file -> Part.tga: 1. How it looks in IrfanView 2. How it looks in photoshop 3. How it looks in affinity photo My first thought was, that this must be some sort of import bug, or just the channel setting from Affinity. Therefore I tried around with channel selection and visibility of it. Then I saved the file in affinity, exported it again as tga file. The new saved tga file show up wrong, like it did in affinity photo, in every application, like irfanview, photoshop and affinity photo. That way I know that the file itself got changed by affinity through the import/export and that it wasn't a fault of channel appearance. Is anyone here who can say me what might be my problem with it, and maybe a way how to fix it? There is a way around I guess,. but therefore I always have to use different programs next to affinity. The only way I found right now is to save the .tga as .png and then load it up in affinity photo. That way it seems to show up like it does in photoshop. Unfortunately it feels like a downside of affinity that I always have to think whether the file is displayed correctly or not while working on it.. The file is part of a game texture. Thanks in advance Dignity PS: Yee I know that part looks really unimportant it just shows the edges of the part which gets colored on the skin,. therefore its important that the file show up in affinity photo like I can see it in irfanview or photoshop. So, the white shape is the important part of this file.
