Hi, is it possible to cut through a layer of solid colour with a text that has been converted to curves leaving the background visible through the deleted text in designer?

Version 18 of Designer for which I got notification on startup of the program.

8.5 by 11 inches in 300dpi, simple drawing and trying yo use fill/gradient. When I'm done choosing colours and gradient, it froze every time. Solve it by rolling back to version 1.7.3 which is working fine. I shall wait for the next version, maybe it'll work. I can still work bust it's frustrating nonetheless.

Hi, just updated Designer and began simple drawing, whenever I try to use Fill/Gradient it freezes, tried to restart with control pressed and checked ''Clear'' to no avail, help please?
