For the last couple of days I've been unable to export images to use as jpegs, on my Mac. I have tried flattening first - that doesn't help. It freezes and I then have to force quit.

Is there a setting that will prevent hidden layers from being affected by a brush or eraser if I accidentally start working in the wrong layer?
